Everything has come together for Durant. THe fundamentals, the post up the passing game, and most importantly his move off the dribble have gotten quite nasty. Very exciting player to watch.

It's always fun to watch the very best player in their respective sport.

Gives me goosebumps to think I'm watching a legend's career unfold before my eyes...

When he turns the fck up doe, it's a wrap. It's a wrap. Easily the MVP so far.

He is one of the two best (and obviously most exciting) players in the game with a gap... so yes... but there is acquired tastes who would say no, some might enjoy the style of Rondo more and so on...

He's certainly in the discussion. Or, at least, the Durant we saw tonight against the Rockets is. When he goes out and just treats the game like he's out playing on the playground, and just does whatever the hell he wants and plays without giving any f**ks, he's as exciting as it gets. Last two games, though, he was doing some "that shit ain't fair" stuff: hitting defenders and doubles with multiple dribble moves and then draining a stepback 3 in their eye, posterizing dunks, acrobatic dribble drive finishes in traffic, etc.

I personally don't enjoy his game, but my opinion might be biased by the fact that I hate him and his team.

I dont think exactly as exciting as when Lebron can be when in that mode... thats just my honest & not so absurd opinion, hopefully i dont get flamed for that or hear the word "backhanded"...

I find the sound of "swish" exciting from anywhere on the court... so... :)

Its b/w him and CP3 for me. CP sometimes is too passive and lowers his standards all the way down to John Stockton level. When he and KD are both on tho its tough call for me. CP3s playmaking is still far above but the way KD can score on any person in the game and the way he just drives and dunks on nikkas and unlike other star players KDs most memorable dunks are against BIG MEN (Hibbert, Asik, Bosh, Mcgee, Bynum, Haywood, Gortat etc)

****, forgot about Curry.

1. Kevin Durant
2. CP3 if he looks for his shot. Like the game against Portland a few nights ago.
3. Steph Curry
4. Dirk when he's feeling it
5. LeBron

Such a strong argument, too. One gif of an oop off the backboard dunk certainly should seal the deal for LeBron.

Lebron?... lebron is a just get the ball in the rim type of guy unless he's throwing down a thunder dunk his game is not visually pleasing to watch at all....he has no crossover..no eurosteps or anything like that...he's just a bully.

Durant, Westbrook, Curry, Irving, Paul, Aldridge, Davis, & Love for me.

I have no problem saying Durant is having a top 20-25 all time season, but the guy is frustrating and boring to watch.
I can't stand the calls he gets, and not to mention the way he flails, etc.

That rip through move is so annoying just cause of that imo he's out of contention. When he's playing basketball and not looking to draw fouls he's unreal to watch.

This season, i would say yes.

partially due to Lebron playing up to 70% or something right now.

People tend to forget Lebron can do stuff like that regularly.

Stupid question since people prefer different styles. If rip-through moves are your thing, I can see why you would like him.

Wade if healthy is right there with Lebron. Because they play together and execute the best fast break ever... .

If we go the healthy route Westbrook and Rose would be in the top tier. As they are the only two who would do something spectacular every other game. The rest of the guys are on and off, or hot and cold, with excitement - mostly quasi-excitement. The four above if healthy will provide more spectacular plays than the rest of the league.

CP3 next tier with Curry and Kyrie

Then another tier of Durant, Healthy Kobe and Blake Griffin.

Then Mello, Dirk, Paul George, Healthy DH.

Blake Griffin could go into the top tier. Kyrie is consistently entertaining and Curry goes shooting spectacular which is hard to do. Its not really an exciting time to me - moreso fun because I enjoy the game. Kyrie and healthy Rose are the only two I think that have real dynamic exciting moves - tho Blake had a real swagger in his rookie year. Lebron and healthy Wade have complete games and a wise way in which they play.

I enjoy watching Westbrook, mainly because of his speed and unpredictability.

Other exciting players? Steph Curry is pretty fun. Can load up those 3s, good handles and good court vision, fun to watch.

Watching a 6'9 guy isn't exciting. If he is 6'6 or 6'7, I am sure is more spectacular.

Durant's dunks last night were amazing but what he did at 1:27 was simply jaw dropping. His handles are way better than any non-PG's and better than most PG's. And that between-the-leg assist at the end...:applause:

He's one of the most exciting when his jumper is on. It's such a smooth and aesthetically pleasing motion, and he's really unstoppable when in the zone. The FT aspect of his game though... well not as exciting.

Healthy Rose and Westbrook are the most exciting players for me. Both have insane athleticism and speed. Rose for his elegant control and grace. Westbrook for his reckless abandon and ferocity.

Totally. He has an arsenal of go-to moves and isnt in his prime yet. Imagine what he can do in his prime-peak, mind-blowing.

He's 25, so most definitely in his prime right now. Whether he's reached his peak is yet to be seen, although if he continues improving his defense and facilitating, it's not out of the question for his peak to rival the top 10 of all time.
