View Full Version : Could we see TWO 70 win teams this year?

Indiana Pacers: 16-1
Heat: 14-3(10 game win streak)

It is certainly possible because of two facts.
1) These are the two best teams in the league
2) No other east team even wants to make the playoffs so wins will be easy to come by. This is because they know they have no chance against them, they like their chances of getting Wiggins in the lottery over their chances of beating Miami in a series. If the Heat were in the West you'd probably see most of those teams trying to tank as well rather than compete.

70 wins is a stretch for any team.

Wait until Indiana go through a tough West road trip and then decide.

I like how you added this up there thinking nobody would notice.

Fvck a 70 win season only one team can get the chip... If miami doesn't get their defense in order and at least become respectable on the boards there won't be a parade down biscayne blvd this year

This, Pacers have played one team over 0.500 (LAC) this year.

30th in SOS right now.

The question isn't if you'd rather have a 70 win season or a chip....but whether these teams can and will achieve it.

As far as I am concerned they are both a LOCK for 60...maybe even 65 wins barring injuries to LeBron James or key Pacers. Ball bounces the right way a couple times and you get 70.

There is only one other team above .500 in the entire Eastern Conference so that schedule will remain consistant for the most part. Everyone else would rather take that 0.6% chance at getting Wiggins over the % at beating LeBron and the Heat.

Indiana won't win 70 because they haven't played a tough stretch yet, and Miami won't win 70 because Coach Spo rather have James, Wade, and Bosh rested before playoffs.

Pacers will eventually cool off.

Miami will win 70 games.
