complete liability on defense
decent post game
turnover machine
blackhole
no range on his jumpshot whatsoever
and yet he gets significant playing time over Cole Aldrich and is force-fed the ball each time he's on the court to get into his "rhythm"

I know, I was just joking cause Stoudamire has been complaining hes never in the game long enough to get a rhythm.

+/- is kind of a crappy stat (no pun intended) since you gotta factor a lot of things, but -30 is a statement :facepalm

So Jamison is the best player in the NBA with +25 in 16 minutes?

I was expected much worse when I saw this topic.
His +/- is a disaster, but his stats aren't that bad.

so 8pts/4reb/4TO/8fouls per 40 (for context) are good numbers for a big man?
This game was single handedly lost by STAT. At one point the Knicks were down 4 late in the game while the Clippers had outscored Knicks by 30 when he was on the court. That's unreal. His impact was so atrocious, he managed to inflate KMart's +/- simultaneously (since they substituted for each other).

Obviously they are not good numbers, but based on the title I was expecting much worse.
For example, David Wesley once had 0/1/1 with 4 turnovers on 0-13 shooting. That's the sort of thing I was expecting to see here.

Amare's three post moves
1. Catch and travel
2. Catch spin bounce it off our foot out of bounds
3. Catch go straight into the defender and brick a tough shot
Defense: None
It was crazy everytime the Knicks got close he would come into the game and the Clippers would go on a massive run, Kenyon Martin was terrific I thought.

He's too busy being jewish.
hes a jewbie:
2. jewbie
An individual of presumed Jewish descent who lacks prowess at a team sport.
Jewbie derives from the prefix Jew and the suffix bie (as in noobie).
The term has been known to be used liberally, and may not necessarily be targeted at a Jew.
Person: It looks like Shlomo's on our team.
Person 2: We're ****ed; he's such a Jewbie.

Why did he fall off like that? Hee seems to lack court awareness..and defence. And ball handling. And passing. Was he a superstar only because of Nash?

I thought maybe he could get it together after a bit of time on the court but damn he still looks completely fkn lost..
The Knicks are stuck with him aswell:facepalm
What happened to his offense? He can't even dribble the ball anymore..

hawkfan Trade Scenario (where amazing happens):
Knicks get
Courtney Lee
Brandon Bass
Gerald Wallace
Celtics get
Amare Stoudemire
The Celtics get Stoudemire, buy him out and then he goes to a contender like Miami, OKC, Houston, or someplace else.
The Knicks get 3 rotation players with talent, which they need badly.

Lavoy Allen

Lavoy Allen
consider this. people know Allen is a scrub and he gets scrub-minutes as a result of that. Thus, though he sucks he does little damage to his team comparatively speaking.
Amare gets major rotational minutes due to the dwindling hope that he'll someday regain some semblance of his All-NBA form. When he gets on the court, he literally gets the ball in the post and isolates like 33% of possessions, even when Melo is playing, all in a desperate, hopeless attempt to help him get in rhythm.
He is f*cking us over on both sides of the court. Turnover prone black hole wanting the ball more than what he gets now.. and teams ruthlessly target him on defense. I never want to see him on the court again. When Bargnani looks like a great defender compared to you, you don't deserve to play NBA basketball anymore.

cause/effect
Jamison had little to no impact on the game. Anyone who watched can tell you Amare was the Clippers' MVP.

I hear your rant. Not disagreeing outside the fact Lavoy Allen gets more minutes than Amare. He's played over 30mins twice in the past 3 games. Avg 21mpg. Now would I swap Lavoy for Amare? No. :oldlol:
I just felt the need to vent how much I cant stand seeing Lavoy Allen getting significant minutes and stinkin.

Man, Amare fell off so badly. It's sad to see a guy who was once averaging 25+ PPG now barely being anything effective at all. He can't even score anymore.
