Dion Waiters WILL be the best shooting guard in the league.

He's learning that's all take it easy on him. It's only his second year if this was year 4 I would be worried.

Jennings averages less points on even worse efficiency.

I don't care how young he is, there is no excuse for someone to be able to shoot at will like that and still play 40 minutes tonight. That is ridiculous.

Shooting 45% from deep, and shooting very well his last 6 games after a bad start to the season.

Hes been quite efficient.

And far better than Dion Waiters, as I told you he would.

I feel like you can explain yourself a bit better here. Im hoping so at least.

Give me a reason 19 shots in 40 minutes is bad....to the extent there is no excuse for it....when the guy taking them a 20ppg budding star on a rebuilding team?

Because John Wall can't hit his shots. Beal is killing it from the 3ball

Ok I looked up their Per 36 numbers and they're essentially even offensively while Waiters is superior in Reb, Stls, & Blks.

You don't get credit for minutes you could play, but in the end, don't.

EDIT: DAMN! Dion is shooting below 40%?

All the raw numbers say Waiters has the higher upside between the two players.

Yes you do in this case. Waiters has better all around better tools but is still being reigned in by the Cavs FO.

He could easily play 36 minutes a night. He's not overmatched on any level.

Beal on the other hand is playing a maxxed out type of game. He's a spot up shooter who is currently given free reign to shoot when he wants. As the Wizards gets better his shooting volume will decrease along with his overall impact in the game.

At the moment, hes better, and will continue to be.

His shots are justified. In his last 5 games hes averaging 24 points on 47/50/93. Are you saying he shouldn't keep shooting with those numbers?

Just as a counter-point, in his previous four games before he got the flu (only played sparingly against Minny and sat out the last two), Waiters was averaging 19 points on 45% FG and 44% 3PT, along with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1.8 steals and a block per game. And, he was doing that in 35 minutes per game, not the 40+ minutes Beal had been getting.

Waiters' defense has also seen a huge improvement. He looks like he could be a potential real asset on that end and was playing good all-around basketball.

People talk about this guy like he's complete garbage. In fact, after a slow start in the first few games he had been very good for a 2nd year guy still figuring out his role in a new system with a bunch of new teammates.

I'd also say that Beal benefits from having Wall as his point guard, as opposed to a score-first PG like Irving. Don't get me wrong, I think Kyrie is the better player, but Beal is essentially Washington's best scorer. He has the green light to shoot whenever he wants.

Dion is in a much more complicated position playing alongside Kyrie.

Beal's TS is 51.5%. Waiters is 46.7%. And Beal scores at a higher rate.

I guess math isn't your strong suit.

So, again... what's the point of all this? Oh yeah, PB trolling. And getting lots of bites.

Beal looked really good tonight. It's the best I've seen him play for a whole game (I admit I don't watch a ton of Wiz games). He's improved his all-around game over the last few months.

I'm not surprised... loved him coming out of the draft and he fits next to Wall like a hand/glove.

Dion had a bad night offensively, but at least he was able to use his aggression to get to the line. The Cavs, as a complete unit, are still trying to find their way offensively. It has been a struggle through 12 games.
