Yeah, 15k for that is absurd. A tweet mentioned that he will make 70k that night so it's no big deal to him.

Of which the government will take half, plus he's a dumbass (please don't argue, he's a dumbass) so you have to figure he has 18 cars, a 6 person enterouge and 10 illegitimate kids he needs to support. So this hurts...

In all seriousness though, if he did this all the time and they warned him, but it was one small thing. I think it's petty of the league to fine for something you have to search for to see.

Somewhere in D.C., Sam Cassell sheds a tear for many reasons.

Still, he's been very good while he's been with us. He's had one, maybe two incidents but none have been anywhere near his "Wizards" days. Us Nets fans have been pleased with Blatche, his skill-set and his energy.

He's just a bizarre dude. Did you see him interviewed last year with Joe and Evan? It's hard to explain but he's just a bit off.

Yes, you have to be from Brooklyn to listen to WFAN, the other boroughs have their own radio stations. :facepalm

Minus tax, agent fees etc. That ends up probably being half his money on the night.

Those strippers gotta eat. Think of how many girls went hungry that night because of the dictators in charge of the NBA.

His agent fees are around 4% and he's paying 30% of it in taxes. He will still walk with 45k after the night. Plus, his fine is tax deductible as well, so he'll get some of that money back. Anyways, I don't care about his money, I care about mine. It's crazy how large these checks are of NBA players.:lol

Then you have conglomerate personalities like LeBron earning more money in endorsements than in NBA salary.

No, you're more along the lines of a hipster whose latte was served with less foam than he liked it.

Federal tax rate - 33%
NY State tax - 8.8%
City of NY - 3.6%
Agent fees -4%

49.4%

It should also be pointed out that Blatche makes 1.35MM/82 = 16,770/gm. Of which he kept 50.6% = $8484. So the fine was ~2 games of income.

It also just came out that 73% of NBA players are broke within 5 years of leaving the NBA. $#!! like this is one reason.

If your boss took ~2.3% of your annual take home because you made a dumb gesture you would certainly be pissed. Not only that but the average NBA career is 6 years. So this could be akin to a .4% CAREER fine.

I like how they fine him for this but just let LeBron disgrace the game with 2-3 obvious flops every game; flops they are supposed to fine players for
