Could they still sign him? I think with Juwan Howard leaving and Mike Miller being amnestied, I think they could. Wouldn't hurt to get another shooter on the team.

He would be a solid acquisition but is he honestly going to get any playing time? The Heat already have 8 regular rotation players and he is unlikely to get any serious playing time and in the playoffs, not even a minute.

He's a pretty good role player. Good 3 point shooter and a good tough defender.

Miami has no need for him though with Battier and Allen.

Bulls or Pacers could probably use him.

If I was the Bulls I would probably consider trading Deng though. Butler is more comfortable as a SF from what I have seen. Plus, Butler is a cheaper version of Deng and is probably already better than Deng is. I'm not a fan of Deng. His defense is pretty overrated and he doesn't really have 3 range. He can shoot deep 2s but those shots are inefficient .

DeShawn is a serviceable role player though.

I would've traded Deng ages ago ...

He's more than expendable now with a superior player in Jimmy Butler, who should be taking the vast majority of his minutes. A guy who has a much higher ceiling.

But the Bulls will find a way to mess it up, and I guarantee he won't be getting Deng's minutes to start the season, even if he deserves it.
