View Full Version : Predict Nick Young's numbers

Nick Young

What will Young Sushi average until Mamba gets back healthy?

27/4apg 6RPG at 47% is what I'd estimate.

Finally he's not surrounded by scrubs and given a chance to shine.

Wes Johnson as well, these new lakers are going to destroy teams:bowdown:

First off, he will not even average 20 PPG in my opinion. Second, if he does average 27 PGG, like you suggest, do you really think he will shoot an admirable 47% on top of that? Those are Kobe's numbers. You Laker fans make me laugh. No, no you don't.:facepalm :lol

But with Kobe as his mentor I could see him averaging 27ppg. You've seen what Kobe has done to Clark, Brown, Ariza, and other players. He has mold them into viable starters in this League. Kobe makes everyone better.

Mamba even made Sasha Vujacic look good in one season.

Young Sushi going to become an allstar:rockon:

1st of all.. kobe will be back for game 1. he said so himself. hes scheduled for a full no limitations workout by mid august.

2nd of all... even if kobe had a set back and wasnt able to start. it would be a steve nash/d'antoni type offense with equal distribution. pau would lead the team in scoring with 19-20ppg. nash would be second in scoring at 16-17ppg. and jordan hill would be 3rd in scoring at 15ppg

young, blake will be around 9-10ppg

the rest of the team is fillers

30PPG and #1 in the league in scoring (Kobe will be second at 28PPG). Will be going to his first All-Star game and will win Most Improved.

Don't forget - MDA is his coach and his offense is Seven Seconds Or Less which is suited to Young's style.

He'll get plenty of good looks with Nash distributing and Kobe sitting.

Personally, I think Kobe is going to play opening day. Unless, Lakers FO put in the word to tank. I do not think that will happen

If Kobe doesn't start then they SHOULD run the ball through Pau on the block with Nash PnR being their second option.

But, we have D'Antoni as our coach so the offense will be less structured inside out offense and more perimeter oriented freestyle ball.

Nick Young probably looking at 15/2/2 43% if Kobe is not playing

Here's bbreferences prediction(no idea how they calculate it):

While Kobe is out 2 RPW (rape per week).
When Kobe will be back Young will average around 1.5 RPW i guess.

22ppg on about 44/40/83

playing with Nash will benefit him. if Kobe doesnt stay healthy i'd say he has a shot of being the team's leading scorer

He is a 11 ppg career guy. If he has to double his career average for the lakers to compete, the lakers are going 0-82. Nick Young is simply a mid level scrub and all these threads about him on ISH are a joke

People like Nick Young, Fresh Kid, Kenneth post ridiculously stupid sh1t because they love being hated because thats all they know. They wouldn't have the skills to be a productive and social member of society for even one day.

It really says a lot about a person's sense of self worth if getting people to start a conversation with them is supposed to be the "art of trolling". They say something, people respond, and the joke's on them? For what? Pretty sad actually.
