Lebron did that on purpose to get the tech and put the game out of reach so he didn't choke it away down the stretch again.

I've seen people run away like that all the time and not get called for the tech.

The league gets a game 7.

Oh well, we all know Miami will get all the calls in game 7.

are you f*ckin retarded?

you can't excesively complain about a call made by the ref. what lebron did is the definition of excessive.

tmacattack33

Why is that a tech?

Because it's showing up the refs.

But the problem is players do that all the time, and they don't get called for it. It was pretty stupid and inconsistent of them to call it on Lebron there.

show me a player that has showed up the ref as excessively as lebron did.

Don't a lot of players do that?

I have no idea why he decided to sprint away, but it was a bad call by the refs. Hibbert was clearly inside the restricted area, and he leaned in quite a bit.

The Pacers would still have won the game though, as they were clearly the better team tonight.

I like how people automatically point out Hansbrough's non-call and LeBron's call on this one. LeBron darted down the court almost at full speed, Hansbrough jogged.

Also a lot of what goes into a technical foul is what you say, we have no idea what LeBron said, but he was clearly saying something out loud the whole time.

It's a bang bang play. In any case in most cases it's going to be a non-call if he goes straight up. Going straight up is something that is judgmental a lot of times.

Not sure where LeBron fouled, but in any case I'm sure he's gotten lots of those calls in his favor when going to the hoop dozens of times in his career.

it should have been a no-call if ref wasn't sure. There is no way defender get the benefit of the doubt while standing in the restricted area. Also, he gets those calls because he gets hit the most while going to the rim most of the times. I think only shaq and dwight come to mind who got hit more than him in recent memory while trying to dunk and both are bigger and stronger than him.

Not to defend the f@ggotry displayed by Bron, but he was probably upset that he got called for a foul on a similar play even tho he went straight up and was outside the restricted zone while Hibbert wasn't.

If LeBron wasn't the NBA's golden boy and actually had games called fairly for him he would be exposed and one of the league's whiniest players. He bitches like a school girl every call against him, and the sad part...he doesn't realize how much he gets away with.

It's pathetic.

I try to not get involved in all the "Lebron Drama", cause I feel he's been the best player in the league for the past 4 years.... However, one critisism I can definitly agree with is that he's a whiny player. In fact I've always been suprised he doesn't get more techs, because there's many times during a game where he'll show his frustration to the refs quite visibly. Lebron's actually very Rasheed Wallace like, where he belives he's never commited a foul

As someone who favors no-call over charge over blocking foul on almost any play where it's close, this one wasn't close. The refs blew the call badly. Maybe they were in the habit of not calling stuff on the Pacers because they defend so soundly, but that was a foul on Hibbert.

Lebron got called for a tech because he was making a big scene. There shouldn't have to be any conversation about that, it's clear as day. If that's not a tech, nothing is.
