Hakeem.

So true, I have seen that game as well and it was a crazy performance by the 2nd year pro Olajuwon vs the greatest team of all-time, the Boston Celtics a la 1986.

For you who haven't seen the game, Olajuwon was only in his 2nd season and he faced the greatest team in basketball history and he destroyed them and following are his stats;

32 point (13-25 shooting), 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 8 freaking blocks..

Those teams went at it HUGE!!
One of the best ever, Gar Heard throwing down, Cowens & Havlicek just wow

The other one for me has to be Walt Fraziers game 7 the "Willis" game - still to this day IMO the greatest Finals game anybody ever played. Clyde just destroyed the greatest guard in the league - the Logo himself couldn't stop Frazier that day

Lakers Blazers game 7.
:facepalm

"People remember Game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference Finals for the incredible comeback by the Lakers culminating in the most famous alley-oop in NBA history. What people don't remember are the bad calls that led to it.The Lakers had a 37-16 free-throw advantage in that game. Two of Portland's biggest stars (Scottie Pippen and Arvydas Sabonis) fouled out. Neither were as high profile as franchise player Rasheed Wallace, but you could argue that they were more important in this particular game. Why? Because they were assigned to cover Kobe and Shaq. The free-throw advantage is one thing. Obviously when one team is shooting 21 more free throws than the other, it doesn't look very good. But when 12 of those fouls come at the expense of the guys responsible for holding down the opponent's two biggest stars, it starts to look really suspicious. (If you're wondering, Pippen averaged less than three fouls per game over his career.)With Sabonis out of the game, the Blazers had to defend Shaq

I forgot the year but it was around 97. Mullin and Barkley dropped over 50 for their team. It was unbelievable!!!!

Regular Season?

Orlando/GS of last year (I believe) in recent memory.

Seattle/Suns same night as Kobe's 81. (Epic night of ball).

For Playoffs:
'04 Kings v Wolves - I believe it was game 5? It went into OT. Bibby and Stojakovic were on fire from 3 and brought the Kings back from a huge deficit to send it into OT. KG ended up winning the game in OT.

Best game I've ever personally been to was the Lakers-Suns triple overtime game on 3/22/2011.

I was at the park paying basketball and I got a text from an old high school buddy. He had a couple extra tickets to the game. Best thing, tickets were for one of those private box seats. He only wanted $100 for it and I easily said yes. I got home as fast as I could and got ready while he picked me up.

It turned out to be a really exciting triple overtime game.

Nash with 20 assists.
Kobe almost had a triple double. 42, 12, 9
Gasol was still the best PF in the league at the time
I think this was the year Odom won 6th MoTY.

I will always remember the 3pt shot that Metta took in the first OT. When he got the ball and squared up for the shot the entire arena went "NO!". lol. And then he MADE it. He also had a nice dunk in the 3rd OT and then kissed his arms while the crowd went NUTS.

one of the best

Lakers at Pacers, Game 4 NBA Finals, 2000

Lakers 120, Pacers 118

Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal took their turns dominating as the Lakers took a 3-1 series lead. With Bryant still hobbled by his ankle injury, O'Neal took charge early until foul trouble put both him and Bryant on the bench late in the first half. The game remained close until the fourth quarter, when O'Neal and Reggie Miller each willed their teams into overtime. In the extra session, Bryant took over, scoring six of the Lakers' last eight points to lead them to victory.

O'Neal finished with 36 points and 21 rebounds before fouling out with 2:33 left in the overtime period. Bryant had 28 points, 22 of which came after halftime. Robert Horry added 17 points off the bench for the Lakers, including the first four of overtime.

Miller scored 35 points for the game, including 13 in the fourth quarter. Miller made all three of his 3-point attempts in the fourth quarter. Rik Smits added 24 points in just 22 minutes of action, and combined with Miller to account for all of the Pacers' points in overtime.

When the NBA ranked the 60 Greatest Playoff Moments in conjunction with the league's 60th anniversary, Bryant's performance ranked No. 58 on the list.

Philadelphia 76ers Matt Geiger, center, is hit in the face by Indiana Pacers Reggie Miller, back center, as Pacers Dale Davis, left, and Mark Jackson try to separate them during the third quarter of Game 4. After Geiger knocked Miller to the floor with a second flagrant foul against him, Miller rushed Geiger and took a swipe at his face, connecting with a left hand. Both players were ejected. The Sixers defeated the Pacers 92-90.

Didn't even watch it: the Pistons - Pacers game in 2004 when Tayshaun Prince tracked down and blocked Reggie Miller to seal it. I was in trouble for some reason at that point and lost TV and internet privileges. So I was listening to the game on this little radio I had with the volume down real low so no one could hear me. I don't think I've ever listened to any other NBA game on the radio.

Either that or the Warriors/Mavs series in 07.

1. Game 4 of the 87' Finals...( not only because Magic hit the baby hook over Bird/Parish/Mchale) Magic was " Magical"...I remember hating the C's so much ( wanted to punch Ainge in the mouth watching him play)

1rst half Magic shook the **** outt ainge! ( Magic went behind his back causing Danny to slip and fall  )...that alone makes it my favorite.

2. 98' Finals " the shot" MJ's last game as a Bull...nothing more needs to be said....simply amazing.( not really my favorite MJ game....but what an amazing way to close the game)

3. Game 7 2000 WCFinals.... ....Kobe willing the Lakers to Victory!.the comeback!...Shaw hiting the 3's.....Kobe passing to Shaq!....the start of a dynasty!

4. ( does the 92' allstar game count?......if so....what a game).....Wilkins vs Bird in 88' ECSFinals was amazing.....both players going head to head making some amazing shots.

5. Kobe's 81....probably the most iconic game of the decade.....81 F'ng points!..nuff said.

just some of the more memorable games I watched.....too many favorites to list!

These aren't the best, but they certainly grabbed my attention..

Kobe's 81 points.
Checked the box score online around halftime and was like "wow!"... but then come the 3rd quarter I was going crazy trying to find the game on TV. And couldn't. That's the only game where I watched the BOX SCORE because it's all I had available.

Lebron scoring the X points in a row.. was it 25? 29? I don't remember.
But I was doing one of my favorite things.. playing video games with friends.. and I just caught the end of that game (the good part) and just... stopped everything. Only my eyes moved while Lebron was doing his thing. Literally everything else, everything, took a back seat.

As for actual games, this may be because I'm a Bulls fan, but that Bulls/Celtics series from a few years back. After the first 3 games I switched my schedule at work so I could watch the rest of the series.

Then Portland/LAL, game 7, as many have mentioned. Poor officiating (as someone else mentioned) or not, that was a remarkable game.
