OP is an idiot since, instead of using a great 4 or 5 game stretch from MJ, Hakeem, Magic, or Wade in the Finals, he used a regular season stretch of 5 games to prove that Magic was wrong.

Wow, Kobe played a lot of minutes. I'm more impressed by that, but Lebron's stretch is still better. And I imagine Jordan averaging a tripple double for a month was better than Lebron's. And Magic said four games. Adding that extra game because it was a loss, you seriously, seriously need to get a life and take a break from your obsession.

Jacking up 35 shots per game and averaging a measly 2 assists per game is better than LeBron's all-around dominance and unprecedented efficiency? Okay...:applause:

Magic just rides hard on Lebron's **** because they have similar styles of play and he just wants to prop up himself.

Never thought I'd say this but OP is right. That 5 game stretch by Kobe is insane and pretty efficient to.

Lebrons last 5 games:

31.0 PPG
6.8 RPG
6.0 APG
71.4% FG
60.0% 3PT
78.3% FT

Lebron scored 155 points on 77 FG attempts during those 5 games....
Kobe scored 268 points on 173 FG attempts during his 5 games you showed....

If Kobe would have taken 77 FG attempts during that 5 game "hot" stretch of his he would have only 115 points (23.0 PPG)....
If Lebron would have taken 173 FG attempts during these 5 games he would had around 350 points (70.0 PPG).....

Lebron has now also tied the NBA record for most games in a row with at least 60% FG and 30 PPG....

...its not just the stats, its how dominant Lebron was during those games... he was putting the ball in the hole however & whenever he wanted and put teams away immediately & efficiently (and then took the foot of the gaspedal as nothing more was needed) unlike Kobe, who more like forced the shots, more like shot the ball however & whenever he wanted..... if Kobe would have shot 71.4% FG during that 5 game stretch of his (not to mention also use his teammates more) he wouldnt have needed to take that many FG attempts .... that doesnt mean what Kobe did wasnt impressive or something, but just saying what Lebron is doing right now is also kindof impressive....

So bunch of shot jacking and playing 40mins more overall is better

joeyjoejoe

Gotta say lebrons 4 games much more impressive despite less pnts nearly triple assists, demolished fg% on way less minutes

Lebron will probably keep this going for 5 more games, then there won't be any possible comparisons.

And look at the point differences in the games.

Kobe is doing all that work for narrow victories.

Look at their minutes. LeBron played a lot less minutes than Kobe every game.

Kobe's FG% was good, but not out of the ordinary. He was just shooting a lot, and therefore scoring a lot.

I find what LeBron has done more difficult to do. Scoring as many points as LeBron did as efficiently as he did in as many games as he did is crazy. Then add in assists and rebounds...

Hmm maybe because Lebron plays on a stacked team and Kobe was playing with kwane brown smush Parker and Lamar odom as his big 3

If I score 50 points on 300 shots, is that better than scoring 42 points on 14 shots?

That's a stupid question. Look at the facts

One player averaged 54 points on on 50 + % over 5 games, how you people call that chucking or try to discredit it is unbelievable

Lebron plays less & shoots less because he plays on a superior team to what Kobe has at the time. 31 on 68% is crazy good though.

Considering at this time Kobe had no real 2nd option defiently nobody who can drop 30 like wade. The entire offensive load was carried by Kobe.

He was the #1 priority for each defense to stop, they could double constantly because nobody else on the lakers was a threat, he played nearly the entire game and still was able to drop 50 + on amazing efficiency. Incredible durability.

Kobe averaged 50 point games are rare these days, we haven't even had anybody go for 50 yet this season, to AVERAGE 50 + on 50 + % shooting is something that we may never see again

Kobe's was clearly better. Still Lebron's is insane. Idk why "analysts" are calling it the best ever though. Did they forget Durants 29 game streak of 25+ pts? That was sicker IMO.

Lebron has average 30 ppg and put up similar numbers before, but the difference this time is that he's been shooting something like 80% during that stretch and playing effortlessly. That's what's sticking out a lot.

For sure, but he's also on a team where he can pretty much pick and choose his shots. Still...amazing accomplishment :applause:

If Lebron tried to score as many points as Kobe did, his efficiency would go down.

Hmm maybe because Lebron plays on a stacked team and Kobe was playing with kwane brown smush Parker and Lamar odom as his big 3

So why are we exactly comparing them then? If they are playing on completely different types of teams, wouldn't we expect completely different contributions?

What kind of a Math do you have?
LeBron,
2 pointer 46/62
3 pointer 9/15
Free t. 36/47
155 points total

Kobe,
2 pointer 70/129
3 pointer 21/44
Free t. 65/71
268 points total

If LeBron scored his points on Kobe's efficiency, he would have scored 132 points. 26.4 ppg. Not 23.0.

If Kobe scored his points on LeBron's efficiency, he would have scored 325 points. 65.0 ppg. Not 70.0.

---

We all know you are just as awful as Kobe-stan. But at least do the Math correctly.
