I could care less what we get back for him at this point, this idiot scrub cost Atlanta another game with stupid decisions and poor shooting from the floor and at the FT line again.

Hell I'll trade him straight up for Pau, let's do it, just get his stupidity out of Atlanta already.

Hell I'd take Big Baby for him at least Big Baby doesn't jack up 3PTs and actually rebounds

Anyone think Atlanta could swap Smoove out for Faried in Denver? That would be the best situation for the Hawks.

I'd prefer to send him to the Bobcats or some other team where he would suffer losing on another team.

Only problem with that is that Portland would play Smith at the 3...

Now, Meyers and Batum for Smith...that is good.

Smith is not worth a #11 pick that is playing decent (and is an athletic 7'1" center) and Batum. Hickson and Batum? Aldridge could play a little more center, and Smith can take a combo of Hickson's minutes and some of Batum's. Although, I honestly have not looked into the Hawks needs. This trade was just based on something I'd be willing for Portland to give up, while the OP wants Smith gone.

I would disagree. I think he is. Maybe Atlanta could throw in a 1st round pick (tho it wouldn't be as high).

And for those trading Shumpert. Stop. He's the only player no one can touch. Because I will kill you.

For who?

New York.

You really can't get a better defensive fit next to Melo. There will be issues offensively just there are issues with Amare but Smith can actually benefit from having less touches.

Atanta run too many plays for him and he ends up shooting those putrid jumpers. As a supplemental offensive player who occasionally gets high pick and roll run for him he will be better.

Hopefully that will put him in a position where he either gets a face up and take it home or just put on the block.

Just stop running Pick and Pop.

Where he can really contribute offensively is on the break, Chandler runs the floor with any C in the league and Melo is usually out on breaks quickly as well. He's one of the better all around fast break bigs in the league.

The main thing is help D and overall defensive versatility....gives them flexibility Melo especially needs.

Could you imagine Josh Smith on the Bobcats given the green light to shoot whenever the fu*k he wants? He would prob average 30 shots per game and shoot like 30%

Well, of course you would disagree if you take Batum out of my proposal :lol

And it especially doesn't make since for Portland when we are getting a PF (which we already have Aldridge) and give up a starting SF and a future starting C.

not if they get Phil. Pau is a good fit in triangle, while Smith is too dumb to learn triangle.

The big man positions in the triangle aren't hard to learn. Pau is too slow and the team needs athletism. He has to go in my opinion. They need athleticism and defense.

The team as currently constructed can't win. They need to change. The only piece they can good value for is Pau.
