:wtf:

Cmon' New Orleans... They should move their ass out that City, it's sad when teams like the Raptors got more people in the stands and Seattle doesn't even have a team.

Wait am I missing something or are the Raptors usually one of the better teams in the league for attendance?

Thats the sad part. I can only imagine if the Raptors had a potential superstar and yet Near Orleans don't even care.

New Orleans is ALWAYS empty. They should have never gotten their team back after Katrina, they were only doing 13k that season anyways.

Son it's Halloween, in New Orleans. We're all about parties. Terrible day to have the season opener.

How is it sad that the Raptor fans actually care about their team ? :confusedshrug:

Besides, it's not like we don't have a prized rookie who played tonight either. Plus, were one of the bigger cities in the NBA.

Detroit had thousands of empty seats too. Quite... "sad".

First off, it's Halloween...in New Orleans. You northener probably don't realize the significance of that. We sold 12k season tickets this year. Sure every game isn't going to sell out, we aren't the Lakers and haven't proven anything. We are far from worse in the league though we are middle of the road when it comes to attendence (like 18th or something percentage wise like 86%). There are several empty seats at Heat games, especially mid season. Should they leave because the heat have 2 of the top 5 players in the league right now and there is not a butt in every seat???

I've heard of teams giving out free tickets just to fill seats. Anyone know if this is true?

lol at "it's Halloween". That's a lame ass excuse if I've ever heard one. So a metro area of 1.3 million people couldn't get 18,500 people to sit in an arena for two and a half hours because of Halloween?

I guess it's Halloween in New Orleans every home game, huh?

1.4 percent of the NO metro population is all it takes to sell out NO arena and that is impossible to do.

Toronto is a sprawling metropolis... around 4 to 5 million in their greater area

I don't think you understand what i'm saying. I'm saying the Raptors team is shitter and yet it has wayyy more people behind them.

NOLA be a football town.

The only reasons Hornets had fans was because it was NBA Playoff season and football season was done.

And David Stern asked the previous owners to sell to him the Hornets and find new owners to keep them in town.

Meanwhile, Stern never gave the Sonics that chance in the first place and let his butt buddy Bubba Bennett take the team away.

Yeah, the same Hornets team that took the Spurs down to the last 30 seconds without Eric Gordon.

Nothing is official due to legalities with the league, but MJ mentioned today in his state of the team address that the team will switch back to the "Charlotte Hornets" if Benson changes the name, which he mentioned that he wanted to do- the first day he owned the team.

We didn't have Manu and NO always keeps it close. Even last season it came down to the wire.

You really could have picked a better team to compare to it than Toronto.:facepalm

See... this is what confuses me sometimes.

The Kings are getting pushed to Seattle. Even though the Kings get a great deal of support.

Yet the Hornets are glued to NO?

The league just needs to contract tbh.

You missed the part where I said we didn't have Eric Gordon (and probably won't for a long time:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: ). No Ginobli would have been a valid argument if we had Gordon. But yes we do always play SAS really tough.

They will move out of the city when you move out of your mom's basement and get a job. Wait that will never happen guess they are staying in New Orleans.

Don't Raptors fill their stadium every game?
