Cherry-picking at its finest, the best part being that your preselected criteria still gave us Jeff "1 time All Star" Ruland as one of your 8 basketball gods :lol

blacknapalm
08-26-2012, 04:49 AM
how many times are you going to post this? if he does it again, it will put him in more rarefied air. kareem did it nine times, wilt five times, chuck three times. let's see if he can rebound better this year and at least go back to being a 60% FT shooter. he's basically losing a full PPG because he shoots like total garbage

If you lower the APG to just 3.5 (0.3 less) the list grows to 11 players (http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/psl_finder.cgi?request=1&match=single&type=totals&per_minute_base=36&lg_id=NBA&is_playoffs=N&year_min=&year_max=&franch_id=&season_start=1&season_end=-1&age_min=0&age_max=99&height_min=0&height_max=99&birth_country_is=Y&birth_country=&is_active=&is_hof=&is_as=&as_comp=gt&as_val=0&pos_is_g=Y&pos_is_gf=Y&pos_is_f=Y&pos_is_fg=Y&pos_is_fc=Y&pos_is_c=Y&pos_is_cf=Y&qual=&c1stat=pts_per_g&c1comp=gt&c1val=22&c2stat=trb_per_g&c2comp=gt&c2val=12&c3stat=ast_per_g&c3comp=gt&c3val=3.5&c4stat=fg_pct&c4comp=gt&c4val=.5&c5stat=&c5comp=gt&c6mult=1.0&c6stat=&order_by=pts_per_g#stats::none).

3.8 is pretty stupid.

Also, Blake is not a great or even good passer. He's average at it. We all know this. I don't care if he got 3.8 assists that year...he had the ball so much on that team when Paul wasn't there.

Uh he still put up 3+ assists this year WITH Paul dominating the game. Anybody who doesn't think he's a great passer, especially for his position hasn't watched him play, PERIOD.

There is no doubt in my mind that he is the greatest passer at power forward ever. Is there anything that Blake Griffin cannot do? They guy is the best white player ever, and the best black player ever. He's the offspring of Bird and Jordan with prime Wilt Chamberlain's leaping ability.

Blake Griffin has the lowest amount of win shares from this whole group when you factor in Chamberlain only playing 12 games (over 82 games he was at 15.72 WS), and Ruland played 7 less games than Griffin (Ruland would have had 10.17 WS over 82 games).

Griffin is the WORST player to ever achieve this feat.

you can cherry pick the best stats from any good player and you will likely find that only a handful of really good players were ever able to do the same. Andre Kirilinko is a perfect example. In fact, he stands alone in certain combinations of stats if you cherry pick them just like you did for Griffen. Also, I am certain you are leaving out several players. And on top of that, Lets see how Blake's defensive stats stack up against those guys.

rationality and common sense..

except for the post game BS... Blake's baseline spin (especially to the right) and his fake up-and-under to the middle are certainly post moves, and good ones
