Luckily basketball is about defending scoring rebounding creating shots and cow tipping if it was based on scoring lebron would not have won some mvps

Some time ago I remember people saying that Lebron might be better passer than CP3 and Deron and people were calling them crazy. But slowly, an example of games played together is getting bigger and bigger and this claim is not as far fetched as people firstly thought. I mean, Lebron is really not having ball in his hands a lot more than CP3 and yet his passes are more effective and he's establishing his teammates into rhythm way more than CP3 for example. Deron is not even in the conversation, trying too hard to score and neglecting passing in these Olympics.

I mean that's not his game this olympics. Along with Lebron you have literally the top3 wing scorers in the league in Melo, Durant and Bryant.

Anyways I said it was an amazing performance. I've never seen that type of game in any olympic game i've watched. How many minutes did he average? Normally whenever a play starts going crazy hot/dominating the coach pulls that player when the lead starts growing in order to preserve the competitive spirit. Wasn't Melo's 37 points in like 14 minutes or something?

He's been noticeably more effective at creating than both of them this Olympics for sure. Thanks to his height and strength, he can make passes that they can't, and opponents have been foolishly doubling him / dedicating too much help defense at him, allowing him to create even more opportunities than normal.

You can disagree with it but it's not that crazy. If LeBron played like a Steve Nash and wasn't as aggressive with his own shot in the NBA he could average 10-12 dimes a game probably. It'd be stupid because dominant scoring is more important but LeBron has crazy court vision. Has the mentality for it as well, his teams have just needed him to score at an elite level.

why the hell not?
speaking of assists he could easily give you 10++ apg if he didnt have to "waste" offensive possessions scoring, he has proven it many times.. lebron was not drafted as a pg for nothing... he is basically a magic with more scoring ability...
speaking of court vision i think he might have the best court vision in the nba...
speaking of raw passing skills themselves i think only steve nash can maybe match lebrons repertoir...

cp3, rondo and so on have better ballhandling and pass the ball much more, but that doesnt mean they are better playmakers... when you put all those pgs on the floor the offense will at the end of the day be orchestrated buy the best playmaker... and that is lebron... and thats exactly what you are seeing in the olympics.... cp3 does a great job simply doing a pgs job, but he is not capable of dominating the game like lebron is with his playmaking...

You could say the same for many people to be honest, Prime Mac, Prime Wade, three peat Kobe, they could all do it but they rightfully have a scorers mentality because that's how they could best influence the game.

cp3 has led the league twice in assists but isn't capable of dominating with his playmaking? dafuq? he's the league's best playmaker in the PNR, one of the best passers in the paint and one of the best lobbers. how many times has lebron had more than 15 assists? the one edge i'd give lebron is passing across the court and his downcourt bounce pass...mostly because he can put so much power and accuracy behind it.

anyway, fanboys arguing is some pedantic shit. this is the olympics. root for a team and enjoy it. lebron and iggy killed the first half. kobe killed the second half. jesus, it's like you guys arguing over who had the best all-star game. they're all going to have their moments. why not just sit back without making a comparison for a whole minute?
