Imagine prime Michael Jordan playing in an era with a restricted area below the basket and 3 second violation rules.

He is just walking like nothing happened after a monstrous dunk.(most of them) :lol Many players scream, beat their chest, make ugly faces stuff after average dunks.

I thought some of the best & infamous MJ Facial Dunks are missing:

-Baselline Dunk on Ewing in 1991 Game 3 PO

-1990 PO dunk vs sixers in Barkley's face when MJ turns around & dunks on his face right under the rim.

-MJs 1988 famous baseline dunk on GSW when he changes direction despite being clothlined and sandwiched btw 2 shot blockers.

-MJs 3-2-1 dribble dunk off the 1990 sixers PO series in transition as he hop steps & dribbles to the basket.

-MJs killer hop step in paint & change of direction & through facial on Ostertag in 1998 NBA on NBC game.

Young MJ was like playing video game Bball character on cheat mode.

Dont insult him by comparing him to cheap knock-off "made in china" trashy young immitations.

can't believe kobe spent most of his life trying to copy all of jordan's moves when he should be trying to be the innovator :facepalm

The whole screaming/chest thumping/acting the fool is a symptom of the current generation's culture. Players back then didn't act like buffoons and had more class. But there are a couple of plays where yoyu can see MJ had an emotional reaction, such as the 41 second mark (where you can see him shout at Salley, as if to say "yeah, **** you!" - that dunk is also a great example of just how quickly Jordan could get off the ground and get serious air) and the 1:07 mark where Salley rakes him across the face (pic seen here: http://s7.postimage.org/w9ndw74uz/8889_Detroit_Salley.jpg) and Jordan is heated and claps in his face.

On a side note, came across this pic while looking for the Salley foul picture and thought it was one of the sickest pics ever:

http://s18.postimage.org/bav63v1yx/tumblr_lp7hah_RRPM1qejjw5o1_500.jpg

The perfect form, the elevation (2+ feet in the air for a jumper!), the hopeless look on Isiah's face and Dumars being juked. Jordan looks like he's shooting that ball from about 10 feet high, probably shooting it DOWN into the basket. And look at the size of his hands on the ball. :oldlol:

the following pics still baffles me the most.

1st Pic: Ehlo is 6'9" & is already 10" in the air & fully stretched with extra long wingspan & hand in MJs face.

2nd Pic: Ehlo is not even there. MJ is like atleast 2+ Feet above Ehlo's 10" jump. MJ is probably almost 3' in the air. His head is probbaly slightly an inch above rim. Jump shot released 11 feet height. Nance is like 6'10". he is hunched so probably lost 6". still at MJs waist level.

Well, Ehlo was 6'7", not 6'9", but yeah - Jordan is probably at 10' at the release point of that shot. And that dunk pic is insane - no one in history has been able to duplicate the type of forward and sideways leaning that MJ did in the air on his dunks. On some dunks it's a really dramatic angle.

His nickname was "air" for a reason. He had great vertical with great hang time. Even jumpshoots.

NY Knicks coaches checked MJ's elevation on his jumpshot attempts during one of the games in the '93 playoffs and found that he elevated an average of 30.5" on his jumpers according to Mike Fratello here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twr6sr2Qa_8#t=28m44s. Insane. He was 30 years old, too.

I saved that picture on my computer over a month ago, to remind me to jump when I shoot a jumper. Ever since I broke my leg 10 years ago, I barely jump, and it looks awkward on video.
