Now.... lets be clear, speed is something you train for. Catch Usain Bolt without training, and another sprinter who has been training can beat him. In other words, times change depending upon a number of factors. Right now, because Rose is built like a NFL halfback, he is probably not running at Olympic level right now. But he once did. And if he trained for it, he could probably do it again.


But right now, as is, without training, dude is still a blurr. He has that ability go "warp speed" unlike any other player in the game.

One thing you must understand and everybody has to understand is that being shorter you always look like you move faster than the taller guy because of the shorter limbs you have.... It means you are quicker than the taller guy, but not always faster than him..... Imagine you being 100 feet tall and have to run against 5-6 footers... While you take 1 step those other dudes have to take much more steps to reach the length you reached with 1 step...

Fast and quickness are two different things. Being able to run from baseline to baseline the quickest doesn't mean you have the fastest top speed.

I don't think at top speed there is a single player in the league that matches up with Bron. I've seen games where he looks like a video game coming up the court and still appears to be gaining speed even as he closes in on the basket.

WOW! I help but wish everyone on this site has a painful death. You all have plenty of access to valid information, with which to make rational conclusions, yet you choose to make claims that have no basis in reality or fact. You then proceed to make these claims as if they are statements of fact. (So and so looks fast in this video...so hes the fastest Ive seen...ect)

First, for the mentally challenged individual that started this thread: watching a player do a "move" is the worst possible way to assess top speed as these moves require the player to slow down at varying levels to execute them. Whether you are correct or not, your argument and this thread are the most pointless way of stating your biased opinion. If anything, you video suggests Rose is quick not necessarily fast.

Second, for the other mentally challenged individual that suggested Lebron runs a legitimate 4.3 40 yd dash, you are just as guilty as the person who started this thread. Lebron NEVER ran an electronically timed 40 in a setting comparable to that of the NFL combine where this type of test is standardized. This is the same case for Devin Harris and many others. With Lebron we HAVE ACTUALLY RECORDED STATEMENTS FROM SCOUTS THAT HE WAS NOT FAST ENOUGH TO PLAY WR, but rather PROJECTED TO BE A DOMINANT TE. This suggests that Lebron ran no faster than a 4.5 40 yd dash in HS, because otherwise his outstanding size would be enough to allow him to play WR.

Thirdly, the 3/4 court sprint that people are using to support their argument that Devin Harris is the fastest end to end player is also massively flawed. If you do your research you will find that a good start in this NBA combine drill can make the difference between a 3.14 and a 3.04 second time. And if this is the measure you want to go by then John Wall is slower than players like James Harden and many NBA power forwards. Sorry but that doesn
