Do NBA players get paid, or is it pro bono?

Yes. Players get bonuses for each round they get through.

No need to rep, but appreciated I suppose. Having an aunt who works in the sales for the Magic helps  She lets me know all sorts of little tidbit stuff.

So Philly got a bonus for going .500. NBA is fantastic.

When a team gets the certain amount of money, do they split it evenly between the players? Or is it on scale with how much their regular salary is?

I don't think they should. Maybe they can play for a championship instead of worrying about money received for advancing far.

I don't know, I think they do whatever they want with that money. And it's not just the players who receive that bonus.

Next question is, do the Lakers players get paid to play in Game 7's?

Lakers will give their money to the Grizzlies if they win the championship

I read that the bulls voted on who got playoff shares during one run... They do not receive salary for the playoffs. So a max contract guy does not get his normal per game check, but they do get bonus.

I think it is sorta neato that it works this way.

What sucks is the NFL playoff salary system, where every player gets the same amount per game. So superstars are making WAY less than their normal salary but are still risking serious injury every time they step onto the field.

They even get paid while they are sleeping...I remember in Minnesota when KG signed the $126million contract they said he was making about 13,000 while he was asleep...
