They have very different play styles but equally effective at creating open shots for their teammates. Scoring wise I feel like there are answers for Jokic. He has had quite a few reps of looking very uncomfortable (last years run not withstanding) while I never get that feeling for Luka - he's always going to get his shot it's just whether he...

Not even close to ‘84 Jordan, much less any version of him on the Bulls after that.

Youre really taking Luka on offense over Jokic?
I think that's crazy personally, and I have plenty of respect for Luka's ability.

Yup.
It's a talented roster, and the team wide commitment to defense has obviously brought them a lot of success this year.
I think from an offensive standpoint, theyre gonna need to look at some tweaks in order to get over the hump (unless they prove me wrong and come back to win the series, which is possible). Especially with Conley...

It's ok. I would t expect anything different from you guys because we are in the moment - nobody gives due credit when this is the case. And then when we are years removed, that player gets overrated to some degree.
I'm just saying. If he ain't the best offensive player, he's #2. His passing ability has a lot to do with it. He's a truly ATG...

Naz has been great, no denying that. I still think giving him a max deal and a lead role in an offense would be overextending him, but I will say the quickness with which he gets his threes up is incredible. The way he just flicks it up with his wrist with very little bodily motion is impressive. Curry-esque even.

He's never played in the Finals and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any ppg, total point, or points in a game records so it's fair to say that this topic is insane.

I mean no, he really doesnt, because that would be Lebron. But he's probably top 10.
Luka has not exactly been consistent in these playoffs. If Kyrie doesnt step up big every time Luka's struggling in these playoffs, theyre already eliminated and we're not having this conversation.
Luka tends to wind up with his numbers regardless of how...

Why are you comparing raw PPG without adjusting for the scoring environment lmfao. He’s literally basically the exact same player as prime James Harden. Is James Harden the offensive GOAT?

He has enough of a playoff history that it's not reactionary. There's only two people that average 31ppg or more in their playoff careers and it's him and MJ. He's also a better passer than MJ.

It would be a good matchup for sure. Certainly the one I'm hoping we get, altho I'm not counting Minnesota out just yet. I'm not *technically* counting Indiana out either until/unless they lose tonight, but realistically it's pretty improbable for them.
Dallas - Boston would be pretty lit tho.

I don't like Luka at all, the way he cries after every miss to the referees and his laziness of defense at times. He's the player I root against the most, I don't want to see him win anything.
You can't deny this guy's offensive ability when it matters though. Even when he was "off" last series, he still controlled the game. His ability to...

Mavs have elite rim protection and might hurt Boston's ability to get into their kick and drive game. Hopefully KP is back to offer relief in the pick and pop game and mid post area. I have my doubts on Dallas overall offense and shooting out side of clutch time while the Celtics typically avoid clutch time all together.

Yea... because Ben Wallace would kill a mother****er that laughed at him. French people don't carry that mandingo "nigg@ what you say" look or swagger that B-Dubs had.
You can't tell me Ben Wallace wouldn't be in some southern penitentiary stealing cheeks as a gang boss if it wasn't for basketball. Everybody can feel that vibe. Tooty would...

Neither guy is that good finishing inside against shot blockers. They don't have a deep bag like Luka and Kyrie, and they certainly can't feed Gobert for anything other than a dunk.

During the season Minnesota struggled with offensive execution, particularly late in games. In the first two rounds it looked like they had gotten past that but now the problem has come back with a vengeance.
They don't seem to have an answer to the Mavs interior D. That and their inability to guard Luka makes me wonder what they can do now.

It will be a great finals for sure.
I do think Mavs match up well against Boston, because they are a 3 point chucking team and we've just seen what Mavs do against so-so driving teams that like to chuck.
Of course Celtics are better, but Mavs will still try to make Horford beat you like Naz Reid did. The problem of course is that the rest of...

In Game 1 Gobert played 37 minutes and was a +10. They lost by 3. So in the 11 minutes he was off the court, they were a -13.
In Game 2 Gobert played 37 minutes and was a +1. They lost by 1. So in the 11 minutes he didn't play, they were a -2.
Gobert is not the problem for the Wolves in this series. The problem is their so called...

I'm thinking this kind of becomes instinctual, you do what you practise.
MJ famously practised every day as if it was game 7 of the finals, like he said, those clutch shots he hit, he practised them 1000 of times so it was instinctual.
Same with Luka, but not same with Gobert.
The NBA has gotten used to "switch everything" because it...
