Your obsessive behaviour reminds me of Stephen McDaniel.

I mean Lebron did kinda renew a culture of respect for coaches, altho he’s kind of going it alone in that regard. But he’s such an incredibly revered figure it feels like whatever he does, is reflected in the era as a whole.

I wonder what the best way to measure coach empowerment vs. player empowerment over the eras? Magic got his coach fired in the early '80s if I recall correctly. I'm sure there were definitely some player mutinies and shenanigans back in the day. But it definitely felt like players became more powerful and therefore more willing to get away with...

Coaches are the scapegoats for ass-coverin' front-office executives and bratty star players. Hard to really coach a team under these circumstances.
Things were better pre '90s on this front. Before the commercial explosion off the work of Magic, Bird, and MJ. When the expansion teams came in and young guys started getting huge contracts. Guys...

Theyre obviously connected in the fact it was Carlisle who stepped down from the Mavs a few years ago and endorsed Kidd as his replacement, who was ultimately hired.
But also, both coaches had “exposés” written about them after previous departures (Rick from Dallas, Kidd from Milwaukee) that quoted some players as saying theyd created something...

What shit did he talk this season? He seemed pretty respectful and "normal" whenever I seen him talk.

Michael Porter Jr was disappointing also. A couple threes go in and it's a different game.

It was a good comment. :lol
This disrespectful guy starts calling Jordan by his actual name all of a sudden after he had some encouraging words for Gobert.

I stand corrected, from what I just looked up it sounds like Kleber is actually making best case scenario progress. Kidd says the possibility of him returning this series does reasonably exist, tho still far from a certainty.
I really hope so, cuz I think he gives them an interesting extra dimension that could be quite useful this series.

This is actually the series I think the Mavs really miss Kleber.
They can play some big defensive lineups with him at the four without losing spacing. Hes got the size and quickness to guard guys like KAT and Reid. But it sounds like a near-zero chance he’ll be back this season.
Im not saying it makes a huge difference, but I do think it...

Nicola Jokic - Unselfish, better team player.
Devin Booker - it’s close. I think Booker needs less to be the man.
Luka Doncic - Availability
Jayson Tatum - Available, can shoot
Trae Young or Lamelo Ball - pass
D'Aaron Fox - team player, clutch
DeAndre Ayton or John Collins - pass
Ja Morant or Anthony Edwards - Ant. Stronger, less likely...

I'm taking him easily over half of the guys you posted. Cp3/Nash didn't score enough, Wade/T-Mac/Kawhi had short primes and fell off as soon as injuries creeped up, Big O & Jerry West were great for their era but cmon, Shaq is one-dimensional, Dirk is like a lesser version of KD, Harden is a massive choker with a shaky jumper who relies on FTs.

That's what makes it worse. He's been great the whole series yet in game 7 can't even do something normal like 12 pts 8 rbds in 42 minutes?

How was this game a knock against Jokic? lol. The team played shit and he ran out of steam. He's still a beast but no single player can win alone. His sidekick was injured and below average most of the series. I don't think his defense is as bad as some say although I did notice he looked a bit "out of it" a few times this game.
Anyone who...

Axe is BurningHammer. And he's humoring himself, rubbing the fact in. The day before I suspected that BurningHammer is another one of Axe's alt, and typical Axe creates a Japan related thread to humor himself, knowing that I'm going to notice that he's humoring himself. The two accounts show a similar IQ and testosterone levels.

No Im with you. Im not into pigeonholing and hard-ranking guys, altho I do think in some cases general reputations and consensus tiers of quality exist for a reason. But theres a lot more arbitrary circumstance involved than most people appreciate.

yea this was insane even at time. The pelicans "big 3" had a negative net rating this year, they just dont fit and ingram and cj arent that good. other guys on the team were great but not enough to carry them to be a contender.
Edit: glad to see i got one prediction right. I was calling out the fit issues early

Whenever a major political figure dies, either Axe or BurningHammer rush to create a thread about it. (I imagine that BurningHammer kept refreshing throughout the day until it was finally confirmed that he was killed in the helicopter crash.) I'm starting to think they are that same person. From Ratzinger, to Abe from Japan, and plane crashes....

People definitely got ahead of themselves online, starting top 10 all-time arguments for Jokic and saying he's better than peak Lebron/Curry and a better player than Jordan and all that bullshit. He showed up in the 1st half of that G7 but when it got tight he settled for 3s than mostly missed and watched his team blow the biggest 2nd half deficit...
