I didn’t watch game 4 because I thought it was gonna be a blowout sweep and even if dallas won it still wasn’t a series
That being said it felt like it’s been Brown’s to lose pretty much the whole way. Jrue had hell of a series though, it’s close to a toss up. I believe I wouldn’t have objected if Jrue got it.

Guarding Luka and Kyrie are both brutal tasks. Kyrie just got done icing Conley and the Antman in the WCFs who are considered top defensive guards. And Jrue had him in a straight jacket. And then to top it off he shot on sniper efficiency himself.

I agree with a lot of this. He comes off as a huge weirdo goofball.
Him and KAT are just goofy cuck type characters.

Eye test wise?
Brown guarded Luka straight up and did as good a job as anyone has ever done in the playoffs. Whatever credit you want to give Jrue for his defense on Kyrie you must give the same credit to Brown.
Brown was the one dunking on the Mavericks in traffic, looking very explosive, hitting momentum swinging shots or straight up...

Luka is always going to produce. He averaged 29, which is 5-6 lower than RS and most other series he's played in. And it was a grueling 29. He had to work so hard for it and you could visibly see it throughout the series as games progressed. Dude was gassed and Brown making him work was a big part of that.
He also had almost as many turnovers...

Yea but Luka still produced. He averaged almost a 30 point triple double. Jrue actually totally shut Kyrie down. That's why the series was so short.

The meltdown was on a Luka vs Curry thread, I said something like I would take Luka if my team was garbage, Curry if my team already had the pieces, he somehow took offense to that. I know warriorfan gets very sensitive when people down talk Curry, so I trolled him and said Curry crying the other night (Draymond ejection), has Curry fans acting...

No Jrue did.
He outshot Tatum massively and cut one of the heads off the 2 prong snake Dallas attack aka Irving. Tatum wasn't even guarding anybody. He was on PJ or DJJ.
Brown didn't even defend Luka that well. He averaged almost a 30 point triple double and Jaylen shot signifigantly worse than Holiday.

IMO, 17 Warriors would be the favorite against any team in NBA history. Every team except the Dream Team.

I feel like it's a crime Jrue Holiday didn't get one vote. He totally locked kyrie up in 1v1 coverage and shot on 53/42/100 sniper splits which was by far the best on Boston.
He was the true FMVP eye test wise to me easily but the pundits had to give it to either Tatum or Brown.

This. There are some people who didn't like him calling games, but I personally loved him. He brought so much humor. Listening to JJ & Burke was pretty bland/boring. You could even tell Breen misses the old team.

They strike me more as a potential quasi-dynasty like the Spurs: they'll be a perennial contender (as they already have been for several seasons and counting) and possibly win multiple titles over time, but they'll struggle to actually repeat due to various circumstances.
Better teams than them have failed to win back to back, and their road to...

They can and probably should win next year as well. Then for the summer of 2025 you have Tatum and Derrick White in free agency, likely to lose White, and Horford maybe retiring or at the least continuing to decline. Then for the summer of 2026 Porzingis is a free agent.
Holiday is still excellent defensively but he just turned 34 and people...
