Momentum can bee an asset but for the Celtics Horford and Porzingis getting a good rest between games is a nice benefit. The team also gets extra time to break down the maverick defense, specifically coming up with a plan for Tatum to pass out of the collapsing defense. Had a lot of turnovers in Game 1.

This could be right but predicting the future is impossible. I personally expect that Pop will put the right players around Wembanyama over the next three years and then it will be over for the West. We will see.

They do it on purpose to break momentum. And extend the series. More money. If games were played every day Boston would sweep off that G1 momentum.
But yea... it's super weak the long delays. We've had 1 basketball game in the past 9 or 10 days during prime NBA playoffs.
I want my fix man!
How does that happen? I understand doing it so...

1: Rookie Melo was a good player, the top scorer on a playoff team. Caitlin Clark, right now, is not a good player at the WNBA level. Her season so far in the WNBA does not justify a spot on the Olympic team. She is talented and will have ample opportunity to make Team USA in the future. But this need to just put her on the team when there are...

Carmelo was legitimately one of the better international players of all time. He would probably make the Hall of Fame off of international play alone.

The mvp of the WNBA didn’t make it one time. They left off that pink mamba girl who hit all those game winners in college and is putting up like 27 a game right now. They always take the best proven veterans and legends. I don’t believe they have lost a game in the last 30 years. They seem to know what they’re doing. She’s going to end up in two...

Yes, both can absolutely be true. Do you really think Carmello was the best fit for the 08 Olympic team when they already had Kobe, LeBron, and Wade?
Shane Battier who was like 2nd in DPOY would have been the absolute perfect selection for fit and winning IQ. In the 06 FIBA World Championship many faulted Carmelo for his chucker mindset leading...

Local sports fans can have weird takes. This isn't about you, but rather the idea Philly isn't trying to win. They traded for James Harden, they are definitely trying to win. They just have made a lot of bad moves, some of which made sense at the time (drafting Simmons over Brown) and others that merit a bit more blame (the Fultz/Tatum draft and...

luka took a step up this year with how much more versatile he is and the stepback 3 is a great shot for him finally and he's playing passable defense. I would argue dirks never had a year this good since he was never a big playmaker and always played average defense and luka making finals with this team is decently impressive though ofc 06 and 11...

Warriors had Festus Ezeli guarding James on the perimeter on B2B possessions in the 4th quarter of a Game 7 in the Finals lol.. that guy hasn't played an NBA game since. Lebron had pretty mediocre/Kobe-esque numbers in his first 4 Finals before he started playing small ball GS teams that he could pad his stats against.
What Jordan did was far...

Game one analysis. Film breakdown starts at 27:45 mark.
Boston frequently put their center on Jones or PJ which really screwed up the spacing when Dallas ran their pick and roll.

I feel like Dirk is gonna end up like David Robinson, a somewhat forgotten superstar because his career locked horns with the likes of Shaq, Kobe, Lebron, Garnett, KD...despite the fact that his playoff head to head is pretty damn favorable against guys like that who are all considered higher up the GOAT list. This dude was good for 25/10 for his...

LeBron would've passive-aggressively pouted, tried to get him fired, and then send an order 66 out for Klutch to do some PR hitpieces.

During the game against Germany, Team USA played its worst game. They still won, but only by eleven points and MJ had a relatively bad game considering his caliber, he recorded 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 6 turnovers. Coach Knight went after him!

LBJ stands no chance after Kyries 28 PPG and Draymond suspension to even come close to 1991 -1993 MJs FMVPs and GOAT finals dominance.
Only 2000 - 2002 Shaq came close to matching 1991 - 1993 MJ FMVP...
