I'll tell you who's stupid. The players on that Athletic poll that voted Gobert the most overrated player in the league. But then it's not really a surprise that a bunch of dumbass 21 year old's don't appreciate great defensive players in the modern NBA.

Wild to think that they could’ve gotten Derozen over Westbrook for a lot less money.
That Westbrook trade set them back so far.

I have to disagree. Kyrie’s shooting gets overshadowed by Steph’s and Steph’s handles are overshadowed by Kyrie’s. If it wasn’t for them sharing the same prime years, Kyrie would be known as a much better shooter. Kyrie, Steph and KD are probably the best 3 level scorers I’ve ever seen though… if only Glen Rice was a better finisher.

Im confused by JV’s minutes. Hes got their biggest mismatch, last game he scored their first 11 points but only plays 23 minutes.
Today he started 3/4 but played 12 minutes total. Did he get hurt at some point? If so I missed it.
Like, Holmgren cant handle him. And hes been converting consistently around the basket. Larry Nance is a good...

The Lakers are a clown show. I couldn't understand it when they resigned him. They let Caruso and KCP go but resign this guy?

I wonder if he can still do that against this version of Jokic? Back then it was right before MVP lvl Jokic. It wasn't just Howard either. It was JaVale McGee too coming off the bench.
But even 2021, I think Ayton gave Jokic troubles too. Ever since 22, Jokic been on another lvl.

Correct. They’re getting dominated on the boards and are smaller at almost every position. A big athletic rebounder, defender, and finisher would do wonders for the Lakers right now.
Their offense isn’t the problem.

is that something you expect to happen against a team that plays a real center backed up by two other bigs?

Exactly.
He's in the 50/40/90 club as a shooter and dimes well too. That's extremely rare company.

So is his shooting. He's literally a 50/40/90 sniper club member with ~ 6 dimes a game at SG position. Your media takes don't line up with reality.

Lu Dort goin crazy too. The Thunder’s young talent is stupid stacked. If they could keep this whole roster together theyll just be a dynasty for the next 15 years :biggums:
The problem is gonna be paying everyone. The new CBA is designed to stop teams from doing it, and the Thunder especially as a small market team are likely gonna have some...

Kyrie is a good shooter no doubt, I just think the only skills he has that can be called among the best ever are his ball handling and finishing.

Rudy Gobert in the playoffs this season:
• 17 PPG
• 72.7 FG%(!)
• 86.4% FT%(!!!)
• +52 +/-
• Def Rating: 102.2
• Off Rating: 124
I'm confused though, how come the Suns aren't choosing to simply play him off the floor?

It's not only finishing though, Kyrie can kill you from 3, from midrange and at rim, he can catch and shoot, drive to hoop, drive and pop, has crazy hang time and timing.
I only think maybe peak Kobe has had that broad of a set of moves in the more recent era.

Cavs have a nice team, but I'm unsure about Donovan Mitchell as their guy to push them into contention.
Also not a big fan of Garland, his offense doesn't make up for his small size on defense. They would be better off with a more traditional point guard to find Mobley and Allen more.

Yesterday one of the announcers mentioned how some people call Kyrie the most skilled player of all time.
I remember ISH not agreeing with me when I said Kyrie was the most skilled player I've seen since MJ.
