He'd be long retired before Lebron. I'm convinced James is playing until he's 57.

Without play-in, lakers would be 8 and facing the vulnerable okc in first round, not denver.

thats just the way it goes
every championship team has a role player or two that steps up once in a while
2020 that was rondo and kcp
was hoping dlo or austin could be that guy this year. AD and lebron were the only decent players this year.

To me it doesn't change much.
All these stats and longevity achievements, it's impressive, but so was Karl Malone.
I'd rather see Bron take a diminished role on a championship team, like Bill Walton, Gary Payton, Kareem, Duncan etc.
Just focus on doing one thing very well as a role player, in Bron's case, run the bench squad. He'd have it...

Was never really a fan of Booker.
Until recently I'd pick Middleton over Booker.

Yes, it seems like it skipped a few years though.
Jokic is the only one late 20s who has lived up to the hype. We have Embiid with all his problems, but who else in their late 20s is ready to step up?
Edit: I forgot Giannis.
That's an interesting setup. The older guard are all big men, while the younger are wings.

Bron, AD, Steph, KD, Russ, harden etc are already bounced or in the process of getting bounced early in the playoffs. I don’t know if we will see them much in the playoffs anymore.
Ant, Luka, Shai, Jokic, Tatum look to move ahead comfortably. These guys are gonna be involved in playoff battles for years to come.

That's tough cuz the Heat was small as hell.
Although it was 2013, Roy Hibbert destroyed the Heat's frontline. Had like 22 ppg on 56% shooting and 10 rpg. And that's when the Heat got bigger with Chris Anderson. Hibbert isn't a scoring weapon like that. If he can average that, what is Jokic going to do them when their center is Joel Anthony or...

He's helping himself stay relevant in the top 10 GOAT list but at the same time he's not making any progress towards passing Jordan or Kareem or Duncan or Kobe.

I agree that he is up there on offense with MJ and Lebron, but you can't say (yet) that he is ABOVE peak MJ and Lebron.
Peak MJ and peak Lebron did not get to play in this era/format of basketball.
I know I have been hyping Jokic up constantly since 2021, but I still do admit that Jokic (and others) are peaking in the easiest offensive...
