At the draft combine, Kyrie Irving was measured at 6'3.5" with shoes, and 6'1.75" without shoes.

I’m not sure he’s among the league’s best, but he seems tiers better than he was in Brooklyn and Milwaukee. He must’ve learned a lot shadowing Frank Vogel in LA, especially defensively.
At the very least, it seems plausible enough for him to win a championship as HC now, which was unthinkable 3-5 years ago.

He’s not 6’2. He’s 6’0 tops. The heights are all inflated.

I don't think you appreciate just how much of better shape Kyrie is in than you. I also don't think, as bad as his NBA defense is, you understand what kind of pressure he could put on you.
Brian Scalibrine worked a bunch of idiotic fans that thought they could beat him, including a guy that played limited D1 ball. And Scal was an absolute scrub...

I know Edwards is super athletic, but every time he goes up that high for those crazy dunks it still catches me off guard. :oldlol:

I'll never forget how badly he outcoached Monty Williams in the playoffs two years ago.

I'm not a manlet like most people here so I'd probably win
I could never defend him but I'd easily get shots off, so I'd just have to go 10 for 90

I don't care about awards like some of ISH does. Those are all fine for regular season success. It's proven it doesn't translate in the playoffs with Gobert. It's clear to see the Wolves played their best basketball tonight when Rudy was on the bench. Is that all directly Gobert's fault? No...some of it is on the coaches and some of it is being an...

He's a good player but very annoying. I have no real reason to root against him other than that. Hell, I own his rookie cards and knew he would be a big deal. Seeing him go crazy vs Boston would be the best thing that could happen at this point for us as viewers. Seeing Boston waltz to a championship would kinda suck.

Oh it's 1's and 2's? I didn't even read past the thread title really. I need to make 10 baskets or 5 2's which are really nba threes? I'm probably losing 100 out of 100 times we run this, even with practice.

No, he's a generational passer. He'll get it straight to the open man more times than not. You can't have Kyrie & the rest of the Mavs playing 4 on 3.
You can mix some doubles in there, but you absolutely can't double him consistently he's going to be ready for it.

No winners ball? So he'd have to make 100 straight shots and I'd have to make 10?
If he came within 20 shots I'd start cheap shotting him.

He led his team to the #2, #2, #4, & #1 defense the years he won DPOY. He can't guard the perimeter, this is nothing new, he plays in an era where guards exploit big men, other past great defensive big men never really had to deal with that on a consistent basis. Imagine the hate someone like Mark Eaton would get if he played in this era, he would...

Well he sat Gobert an extended period of time in the 4th and that's when the Wolves looked their best. Shame on them for thinking putting Rudy back in the game would help. Did he chuck up a bunch of bad shots or turn the ball over a bunch this game? No...but the spacing and everything else looked worse with him in. Not to mention Gafford got his...

Yea he took away a good number of shots inside in the first half. He got benched more for offense. Didnt get drug into too many bad situations defensively.
