I am fine with it. The team seemed to respond well to him and he is willing to try different lineups to find things that work.

It's crazy the Lakers didn't want him a couple seasons ago even though LeBron did and has won on the grandest stage with him. They chose a bone headed rookie head coach instead.

Nowhere in that video does it “destroy” Near-Death Experiences. All NDT says is that eyewitness testimony cannot be scientifically proven. And? What does that mean? It doesn’t mean shit. And did you watch the original video? This is a full-blown atheist who cannot find anything scientific to explain communicating and seeing dead relatives as...

Probably pretty great in this league tbh. In many ways fit better than back then. Granted Dirk was just starting to become the Dirk we came to know, but to my recollection was still unable to backdown small guards and would settle for jumpers. Nash wasn't Nash yet either though he would do much better with teams taking 50 threes per game.
I...

I imagine they take their pick of the best energy shot blocking bigmen not playing major minutes(either of the current Mavs bigmen might work) and a good wing defender who can shoot. They would definitely wish Caruso played 3 less minutes last year.

An experiment completely destroyed that whole near-death experience.
Neil Degrasse Tyson has talked about that experiment, and he can explain better.

When I think of guards with deceptively long wingspans I think of Wade and Mitchell. They are listed at 6’4”/6’11” and 6’3”/6’10”.
Delk with the 6’1”/7’2” though. Freaky.

Make it to the Finals?
Are they worse than the form of the Pacers team that should have been up 3 games vs Porzingusless Boston?
edit: Didn’t see the Rockets part. Saw the roster/coaching and figured if they played high pace like the Pacers did this year they could do similar

Depends what offensive scheme they run and how big they're going to play. Is Josh Howard starting? Is Marquis Daniels? If they run it back like the 04 Mavs they're missing the playoffs.

I don’t get these direct-to-head-coach jobs some of these players get right after retirement. Derek Fisher and Steve Nash were awful coaches. Jason Kidd was too until he got knocked back to an assistant position and then later got a bit better with the mavs.
I don’t care about basketball IQ and acumen or your ability to envision schemes....

Yes. LeBron might be the best player in history at punishing defensive lapses and mistakes. But he's not all-time great at making something out of nothing on the offensive end. This is where Kobe and even moreso MJ have a substantial lead on LeBron. In the playoffs or in clutch situation where teams are making less mistakes and defenses are more...

45 wins. This team's advantage was that they had taken a step towards the modern style with a jumpshooting big that spaces the floor, pushing the tempo and taking fast shots. These days there's nothing special about that and they would actually have to see if they can speed up. Defense would be awful.

45 wins? it's not a bad team at all, got elite shooting and playmaking. defense would be iffy.

Of their top 7 guys in minutes all of them are 23-30 with Finleys 30 being the oldest.
Keep Don Nelson as coach who gets the offseason to adjust his offense and defense as well as freedom to swap any two bench players for anyone in the league who did not play over 25 minutes a game last year.
How does it go?
