I honestly think nationalism is stupid and it's not only america it's most post WWII participating countries. Nationalism is a concept of the 19th century.
That said. I won't stop liking a basketball player because he has altering views from mine. Unless these views lead them to heinous deeds idc. It's a basketball player not the political...

As has been already mentioned by others Steph did this very recently in the 2022 finals against Boston which going into the finals was being billed as a historic defensive team.
Not only did the Celtics feature the DPOY in Marcus Smart but they also had two other top 10 vote recipients for the award in Robert Williams and Al Horford. Smart and...

Going to the tape isn’t stanning, sweety. Until you actually watch the games you can’t be taken seriously.

It's only in America white people aren't allowed to be proud of their culture and race. Everywhere else in the world they can be. I dont even take this physical shell stuff as seriously, but it's just a fact. Outrage nerds like RRR3 hang their entire identity on white knighting racial issues. It's incredibly cringe.

I haven't gone back and watched each possession because i haven't deseperately needed that validation of something thats been retreaded a ton of times already if you're in the hoops community. I've seen videos on it and I heard plenty of interviews that he's(GP) done over the years about it, specifically his strategy agaisnt Mike. You're just...

Having gone back and watched each field goal attempt I absolutely do get to make that claim. Until you do the same your just speaking out of your ass.

It’s been a while since I’ve watched. A couple years.
Was he able to get to his exact spots where he dominates? Did he move exactly the same way after fighting with GP off-ball? Rhythm affected in any way? Able to get downhill and convert some easier looks?
There are a lot of factors that a defender can play in throwing a game off. Again,...

I'd respect what you just said if everyone we discuss here got to "just miss shots" they normally make, but you don't and I can't. And funnily enough this "just missed shots" narrative pretty much deads most of the criticism we throw at any great. So tell me is this just missed shots phenomenon an Mj exclusive?

Could've said the same for Wade in '06. Shit happens man. This is Ant's athletic peak. Kobe's athletic prime/peak lasted until '03 and he had so many injuries after that but he was definitely far more skilled in the late 2000s compared to his '00-'03 self.

He could come out and do 40/15/10 with great efficiency and still lose. Or he could have a 23/15/8 game on average efficiency and win.
This game will have a lot more to do with how his teammates play than himself. If they are throwing up bricks like game 6 that can't be held against Jokic in any conversation where the collective IQ is above 80

Well the legacy game is this week...a win and he makes his third trip to the finals which is a decent pace for a great. If he loses we're going to end up having to contextualize him differently.

Go and watch the series. AD did just as well as Toody defending Jokic 1 on 1, Lakers did not have other bigs nor great defenders on the perimeter.

Because Gobert helps off of AG. Frenchie just camping his ass under the basket limits a lot of options for Jokic, and you live with AG taking j’s, which he shot out of his mind in game 5, I think he was like 9/10 from 3 and midrange and had 2 dunks for a total of 11/12 shooting. When Gobert guards Jokic, Jokic doesn’t gaf about KAT or Reid meeting...

Lol go rewatch the games bud they are free. Many of the shots he missed weren’t even with GP defending him and even the ones he did miss with GP on him were routine shots he creates enough space to not be bothered and he just misses. If there’s anything GP should be commended for those games it was his ball denial.

I will never understand how KAT of all people is genuinely one of the few people in the NBA that can slow Jokic down. It doesn't make any sense in the world but it happens.
