What sets the NBA apart is objectively not the bball but the insane production quality. It turns the sport into a spectacle. NBA production value is just insanely much better than anything in the world not Champions League soccer perhaps.
This was always the issue with Euroleague etc, only nerds would pay to watch, because it just looked like...

Every car company has plans of going full electric within the next 20 years and that was decided long before Biden recommended anything. And if Trump wins you'll see him touting it as well. Since you are the type that needs a POTUS to tell you what to think.

He was but that’s because he had to be. Despite what some like to say narratively, those teams for the most part weren’t all that good. He could take a step back in some areas in Miami and 15-17 Cleveland but when he locked in was still capable of similar things.

I’ll take dominance over versatility. In my opinion LeBron was more active on both sides of the ball in his first stint in cleveland.
He probably wins the 2009 DPOY award if it wasn’t for prime Dwight Howard.

It really kind of shows what kind of star you have doesn't it? Duncan is the ultimate raise all boats guy who is going to give you a chance every year, kinda like LeBron. Kobe was very much the guy who will take you over the top, wrap up chips type guy if he's on a good team, but tend to struggle and be a locker room problem if he's not. Shaq is...

His weight allowed him to guard bigger guys, the only edge '09 LeBron has as a defender are probably his chase down blocks, by 2012 & 2013, he became more of a problem when it came to off-ball D, jumping passing lanes and rim protection.
Even with the weight, he was putting the clamps on (2011)Derrick Rose & (2013)Tony Parker in the playoffs.

He was more of a force inside though in the Miami years. First stint Cleveland Lebron wasn’t guarding 4s or smaller 5s nearly as much.
Earlier on he had more capacity to cover smaller perimeter guys for longer periods of time though so it kind of evens out.

Miami Lebron was heavier and didn’t have the motor like he did in 2009.

I watched LeBron's entire prime, his versatility in Miami grew, you saw him defend more positions and his help defense was superior compared to his first stint in Cleveland. Regardless, it's pretty pointless to argue which version of LeBron was a better defender because he was pretty elite as a defender from 2009-2013, he was at a level Curry...

I am not taking anyones word for it. I was there I don’t need revisionist history to educate me.
I also want to say RealGM has been garbage for along time. Their voting suffers from so much group think. The majority of voters actually know very little about ball and get influenced by certain posters who the lesser knowledgeable people agree...

You don't even have to take my word for it. Just go back and watch the games.
He was guarding everyone from Tony Parker/Rose to David West/Gasol in the Miami era.

To win anything you require it but sustained dominance is usually a sign of an especially great FO.
Those Spurs team had a bunch of things going on. They drafted a superstar while already being a contending team. And then that great FO continued to keep that team at a championship level as Duncan transitioned into the team's leader. The FO...

As a player, it would depend on when the threepeat happen. Towards the end of your career? That'd be nice. In the beginning of your career, then never getting another title, not as nice.
If I have the luxury of not knowing I'd take the threepeat. I'd think that's threepeat in the bag, have lots of time to get more. Meanwhile 4 titles in 8...

Even at 40, he is still capable of controlling the game on the defensive end for short stretches. Problem is... Lebron raised the bar so high that it is going to look like he is not even trying on defense.
People must be fooled by those reels of Bron looking bad closing out on shooters but that is the kind of play that anyone can look bad on...
