I remember she was once considered one of ESPN’s better color commentators, actually. But she’s been insufferable for at least a few years now, even by that crew’s standards.

There's no Nah about it. Duncan was unequivocally the #1 option in 99 which was his second year. Drob was at 15PPG, a moderate number for a #2 option.
This is not to say Robinson wasn't great. He was excellent on the boards, on defense and intangible wise.

Nah...
David Robinson was an absolute beast for Duncan's young years coming up.
His advanced metrics were through the roof and for some reason he gets no credit.

I... wouldn't be so sure.
Guys nowadays sit out for the new contract and extra ~100s of millions of dollars especially if they already won.
Back in the day? Everybody played 82 plus playoffs no matter what. Youd have to snap one of their limbs to have it be otherwise.
And even then we saw guys like Isiah Thomas hop around on on leg no...

The likelyhood is there is a confluence of factors, but I’ll venture a theory on one factor. And it is just that… a theory.
It is a well documented and accepted fact in the scientific community - not just a sometimes leveraged political narrative - that testosterone levels in men have been continually diminishing with each decade. It’s just...

What about the distance run per game? I have a feeling that this number has gone way up per game even compared to 50-60 years ago when the pace was "high."

:sleeping I’m trying to get into this since it’s the only basketball we have tonight, but it’s about the most forgettable ECF I can remember (which says a lot considering how dismal the East has been for most of my fandom). Haliburton’s out, and the Pacers were overmatched to begin with.
Still want the Pacers to win this game, but I quit trying...

I've read resistance training with bands might be the culprit, years ago. Unsure where. But I just googled it and allegedly it's the opposite, though that doesn't make much sense given that people in the past weren't using bands, no?
