Pippen and Lebron would be a disastrous combination spacing wise. Add in Cartwright, Grant, Rodman, Longley and Harper and that offense would be down right FUGLY.

That's fine and dandy but history shows that Lebron objectively needed more help to win as 1st option, since he needed sidekicks that made the Finals without him, which is objectively superior to Pippen without Jordan.
Now imagine if Kyrie wins FMVP (lebron needing FMVP's) - that will be extra icing on a cake that's already pretty damn good.....

Luka is better than Lebron ever was due to superior passing, superior clutch, superior jumpshooting and pure scoring ability, alpha leadership (he isn't corny or cringeworthy like Bron)
For Lebron to make the Finals with Kyrie, he needed to team-up Kyrie as an in-conference rival (dilute the conference) - this isn't the same as winning a real...

Gafford and Lively are what make this edition of the Mavs different from all preceding editions of the Mavs that were never a real threat to anybody.
That being said, Kyrie has been fantastic. And I've railed on Kyrie for most of his career. The way he's playing now is as big a reason as any why they're in the Finals.

All my narratives have been confirmed now that Kyrie and Wade have made the Finals without Lebron - this is objectively better than Pippen without Jordan.. Accordingly, we know that for Lebron to win as 1st option, he needed sidekicks that were better than Pippen (made the Finals on their own).
But of course when Boston beats Luka, this will...

Captain obvious strikes again.
Kyrie has been great but yea... it is a team game.
If you put Michael Jordan and Larry Bird on the same team with a bunch of 5'8 chubby dudes from the YMCA they'd get slaughtered by any NBA team. Even lotto teams.

I'm sure you can find many other bump-worthy anti-Kyrie threads from the past-two years. I remember all the knee-jerk reactions to his first-round flameout with the Nets and his initial struggles on this Mavs team. People will pounce on any down year and try to use it to define a player's career as if there aren't a multitude of other possible...

Jerome Kersey led the Blazers in scoring for the 1990 Western Playoffs to lead the Blazers to the Finals - he often averaged around 20 ppg but he was the Blazers 5th-best player behind all-stars Drexler, Porter, Duckworth and Buck Williams (perennial all-defender)... Their bench was great with 1x all-star Ainge, HOF Petrovic and all-defensive...

OP is losing it, literally none of his threads recently make any sense. Dude is playing both sides to every argument he makes and then pats himself on the back like "iM sO sMaRt".
Isn't OP like 45 years old? No shame.

No one disputes Jordan carried. I’m disputing other points. Like Hughes isn’t better than kukoc on offense lol. Also still waiting for you to name a team with even 5-6 scoring options. Over 13ppg by your own definition since grant and kukoc aren’t scoring options according to you. If you’re going lie in discussions then I have nothing else to...

I'm already doing that just by Kyrie making the Finals, since it means that for Lebron to win as 1st option, he needed sidekicks that made the Finals without him, which is objectively better than Pippen without Jordan.
And sure, god forbid Kyrie wins FMVP, which would mean that Lebron needed FMVP's at sidekick.. that would be extra fudge on the...

The Mavs are good because they acquired Gafford/PJ Washington at the deadline and got a steal by drafting Lively. All three of those guys work in the Mavs system and SORELY fixed the weaknesses of the Mavs team that existed last year.
Yes, obviously Kyrie being healthy come playoff time is important but he is not the "needle mover" for this...

Nonsense - matchups have nothing to do with Ant wetting the bed once the pressure was on in Game 7 vs Denver and then the conference finals vs Dallas.
At one point, this guy averaged 18.7 on 29.8% for a 3 game stretch and ultimately was G-swept by #13 SRS - the Mavs are a dogshit team that is carried by Luka or Kyrie.. Kyrie destroyed Ant worse...

Kukoc was trash and everyone knows that - he was a letdown coming over from Europe because he was actually projected as a star but ended up being much worse than Larry Hughes on both sides of the ball...
And again, Jordan only needed INFERIOR team defense to his opponents, such as the 91' Pistons or Lakers, or the 92' Knicks and Blazers, or...

Nobodies saying Gobert is better than Tmac. But he's done WAY more in the playoffs. It's just that he looks very goofy doing it and tmac had one of the most aesthetic games ever while losing way more.

Kukoc was not ordinary, obvious watching him but also bpm from 96-98. 5.4, 5.0, 3.3. Rodman was obviously impactful especially on defense no 2010 doesn’t compare to him just because you say so even if cavs won a title.
Your contention that the bulls win with any top 10 defense and sidekick doesn’t make sense considering the bulls played...

Don't insult McGrady like that bro, Gobert on those Magic teams would legitimately be some of the worst in league history. From '01-'08 he averaged 30/7/7 (albeit not on great efficiency) in the playoffs. He was frankly just extremely unlucky in his career from playing on a shit Magic team to Yao always being hurt in Houston.
