As amusing as its been to watch Porzingis, Tatum and Brown have 2 baskets total between them. The Celtics need to play more as a team and I include Porzingis in this. Screens and the like. Mavs are collapsing around those two; they've been kicking to 3 point shooters but ideally they do more than that but create layups, near-range shots with...

The thing that stands out for me is how the Celtics have jumped out to this lead because of Tatum’s expert jump shooting creating good chemistry.

He was always called the Unicorn for a reason, the master of the 5 point swing, block and trailing 3.
He's the biggest frontrunner you can get, win you games in a quarter like this.
He also can't rebound worth a crap and when he isn't hitting midranges, he'll take bad 3 point shots of rythm and shoot you out of the game.

Such a massive difference going from dealing with a bum like Toody to a unicorn who can do everything like Porzingis

As soon as you make concessions towards Kristaps then you're kind of fvcked in a different way. I think Tatum and Brown have 5 points combined?

It's too bad the Nuggets didn't get past the Wolves, we might have had a competitive Finals.

I'll state for the record that I chose Zingis over Luka in that kerfuffle, but it's not enough to root for Celtics.
It was always obvious to me that Luka did Zingis dirty. Zingis did literally nothing wrong. Luka froze him out since game 1 for some weird reason.

I don't know if Porzingis is the best player on the team, but when everybody is healthy and playing I feel like he's the most impactful. Or most important. I don't know.

Awesome to see Porzingis get revenge against Doncic given the way Doncic talked about him.

Like any great team, with the Celtics, any team can beat you on any particular day. Tatum, Brown, White, Porzingis, Horford; Holiday had a few 25 point games in the playoffs. Mavs depend on Kyrie and Doncic but then again those guys are hard to stop.

Clearly a lot of nerves from both sides, pretty sloppy so far. Should calm down a bit in the second half.
Really happy for KP to start off hot. Ive always found him to bea a really genuine, introspective guy. Good to see him back out there healthy and contributing.

Yeah, Celtics are deep, but Mavs need to get their feels in and figure it out. Everything fresh now.
I still don't think Porzingis can keep this up, but I want him shooting 3s, not mid ranges.

They keep getting caught on switches though. That's the tough thing with the Celtics and Tatum in particular. They all react quickly and catch you out of position.
