Dallas was taking that away tho. They have length, they were doubling. These are complex defensive schemes nowadays, it’s not 1 on 1 vs Craig Ehlo.
Luka’s like 4 inches taller than Edwards, it’s just easier for him to go to the midrange and get a shot off.

Dallas defense is much better than denvers. They actually have 7 foot shot blockers and PJ or DJJ can switch everything. The only thing they have to shore up is Luka not leaving mcdaniels open.

Any big name miss out due to not playing 65 games?
Joel Embiid is obvious.
Did Dame, Donavan, J Brown, Banchero play 65 games?

I want to know if you believe that his production would be still elite if he had to score 30+ a game with the limited offensive skillset he has.
I don't think it's that hard to get. Obviously the Jazz could win with him scoring his usual 12-13ppg. That's why I created that hypothetical.

Ant was completely gassed in the end, no doubt from chasing Kyrie all game.
The problem is, what else are they going to do?
Put Jaden McDaniels on Kyrie and have Ant guard Luka an entire game? That won't end well either.
Conley?
This seems like a problem for Minny.

He's literally the only player on the team that plays defense. Vanderbilt maybe when he's actually healthy.
Everyone else over their entire career has been known as average to below. LeBron is washed and coasts on that end.

Kyrie wasn’t going average 15 again. That was part okcs defense and part by choice to let Luka and role guys cook. He had to do more vs minny and everyone knows he’s capable

Ant has a midrange game he just didn't use it tonight. For some reason he actually shoots a lot better from midrange in the playoffs, almost 50%.

Ant usually has a better midrange, but this game he was 5-12 from 3 and only 1-4 from inside. That's not winning basketball for Minnesota.

Memo to Anthony Edwards ... maybe actually study Jordan and understand what a mid-range jumper looks like.
Completely take yourself out of the game because you have one move you keep going back to (dribbling through the legs and settling for a 3).
Gotta have a mid range game in the playoffs, bud. Contrast with Luka who basically sealed the...

No, he can't.
But depending on what his next contract costs, you might find better value starting him and spending Gobert's $45M on other positions of need.

Reid can score but he doesn't have the impact that Toody does and it showed in this game. Was a layup line with Gobert on the bench and that's what lost them the game. Had no business losing a game where the Mavs couldn't make 3s.

Yeah but you dont see him going and being the best player on a team somewhere do you? Outside of maybe the Wizards I dont see where thatd even be possible. And certainly not anywhere thats doing anything but tanking.

Minny looked shook offensively the entire game, no adjustments made, just doubling down on 3s and trying to lob it to Gobert.

That's why I favored the Mavs going into this. I trust them way more in crunch time than the T-Wolves. I knew they were due for a bad play and the KAT offensive goaltend followed by the turnover by McDaniels really was the difference-maker here, and they stole this on a bad 3PT shooting night with Wolves role players going off from 3.
