Yeah, but any smart coach would recognize that a hopeless lunge does nothing, and youre better off just standing there, staring the shooter down

This dude gonna Play six more years on some Tom Brady shit. I don’t think he can let go of the spotlight. If he doesn’t find another vehicle to be right in everyone’s face, he won’t retire. Maybe Amazon offers to let him lead their studio show and he retires to do that thinking he can shape narratives as what he(and nobody else) will consider an...

I actually do agree about not rushing at the shooter and leaving them open, I think being that wide open is unnatural, throws off your rhythm, and adds more pressure to the attempt, no different than an easy fly ball in baseball or being a wide open receiver in football. I just think it's far too instinctual for these guys to try to alter a shot...

Amar'e played maybe the best ball of his career when they first got Shaq in the second half of 2007-08. Like 30/10 on 55-60% FG over the last 30-40+ games. At least from a box score perspective.

I can't think of an exact precedent to follow as a guideline. I'm going to say throwing a basketball isn't as bad as charging into the stands and beating up the wrong guy but Artest being heated is more understandable, he just effed up beating on an innocent man. I don't care if the punishment is excessive as I'm not a fan of Beverley but if I was...

Its pretty weird to have 2 lottery seasons inbetween 2 conference finals (07 was the defacto WCF anyway) with the same roster basically + Shaq.
Was Shaq that much of a detriment?
Any deeper takes on it?
Now the 08-09 West changed quite a bit from 07, it was a lot deeper, but its still odd.

:oldlol:
no I did not realize that
anyway, if 80m/4yr was really what was expected, hats off to the knicks for paying 100m/4 and still getting one of the best bargains in the league... I'm still surprised that they managed to sign Brunson to an amazing contract instead of doing what the knicks usually do and getting locked in to paying...

You really dont think the Cavs can beat the Knicks? The cavs are lightyears better defensively than the 76ers (especially on the perimeter), and on paper its hard to find a single matchup where the knicks have a clear advantage. The only obvious reason I can see why the Cavs cant beat the Knicks is because in order to play the Knicks they have...

Brunson was expected to ask for a pay cut? Because he is currently getting 25m/yr... 80 over 4 is like Dillon Brooks or Deandre Hunter money

Brunson is definitely easily the best Knick since Ewing.
For both of them, they contribute more than their stats.
Brunson is a true leader.

Best part was imitating LeBron’s corny trap flex taunt. That he usually does for far less impressive feats. The Laker / LeBron Slayer. Light skinned Canadians like Drake taking it to the dark skinned bruvas. Yikes. Got me considering trying NB basketball shoes. Damn.

Out of all the potential matchups this one has me the most excited for a tough series. No hate to the Thunder, but I feel like the Nuggets and Wolves match up really interesting...
Murray vs Edwards
Jokic+Gordon vs Gobert+Towns
Porter Jr. vs McDaniels
Can't wait for Saturday 7PM EST.
Is it sad I'm more excited for this than my Cavs? I...

Props to the Knicks. Great job by the front office building the team without chasing stars.

I think this is spot on. Seems like the wolves best approach to the matchup is to defend jokic 1v1 and let him shoot as much as he wants, and instead focus on suffocating the nugs supporting cast (especially the perimeter shooters).

Just saw the clip, Pat Bev going sideways on a three pointer to draw body contact is definitely not a foul and a good no call.
Any more "bad calls" you want to share? :lol

Wolves out rebounded them the only game they had all their bigs. Not much to take from that. Only first game were teams healthy and that was the 4th game of the season with Shake Milton in the rotation. Hes no longer on the team

Bro are you retarded?
Kawhi outscored the next best scorer by 11 points in the playoffs and Dirk outscored the next best scorer by 10 points.
They were quite clearly "that guy", as you falsely said those teams didnt have a man, which is so hilarously retarded when those teams are known to have been some of the biggest 1-man band champions...

that doesnt make any sense.
I have no horse in this race and the officiating was pretty blatantly in the Pacers favor. Most notably Haliburton whacking Bev on a huge incident at the end of the quarter. 3 potential points on the board.
There were a good 3-4 incidents after too. I dont really care to look them up but I didnt make that...

Bucks fought hard the whole series despite the injuries so kudos to them but lets not act like the Pacers needed the refs help to win game 6 because thats just dumb especially off a few missed calls that happened to both teams.
