Luol Deng Out 2-4 Weeks

The Chicago Bulls announced today they have placed forward Luol Deng on the Injured List with a sprained right ankle and activated guard Frank Williams (left hamstring strain). The injury occurred when he stepped on Houston center Yao Ming’s foot 37 seconds into the game on Tuesday night at the United Center and he did not return. An MRI performed on Wednesday confirmed injury to his lateral ankle ligament and he will likely be out two to four weeks.
Deng, a 6-8, 220-pound rookie from Duke, has appeared in all 54 games for the Bulls and has started 45 games. On the year, he is averaging 12.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg and 2.3 apg in 28.0 mpg. Per league rules, he will miss a minimum of five games.
Williams, a third-year veteran out of Illinois has appeared in eight games for the Bulls this season.
