CLIP NOTES
OFFENSE ON DISPLAY: The Clippers tied a season-high with 115 points in their 115-105
victory over Dallas on December 20, matching the 115 points they scored in a 115-103
victory over Atlanta on November 11. The Clippers have scored 100 or more points
in nine games this season and are 7-2 when they top the century mark.
WINNING IN BIG D: After snapping a five-game losing streak with an exciting 100-99
win over Dallas at STAPLES Center on December 10, the Clippers defeated the Mavericks
for the second time in 10 days with a 115-105 victory in Dallas on December 20.
20/20 VISION: Elton Brand recorded his 20th career game with at least 20 points
and 20 rebounds in the Clippers 1115-105 victory at Dallas on December 20. Brand
scored 22 points and had a season-high 20 rebounds in the game. Brand has recorded
double-doubles in seven consecutive games entering play this evening. He had 15
points and a season-high 16 rebounds in the Clippers win over Milwaukee on December
17. Brand scored a season-high 27 points and added 13 rebounds in the Clippers
win over New Orleans on December 15. Brand, who returned to the Clippers lineup
on December 5 at Utah after missing 13 games with a hairline fracture in his right
foot, scored 21 points and had 14 rebounds in the Clippers victory over Phoenix
on December 13 and had 18 points and 10 rebounds in the Clippers win over Dallas
on December 10. He has now posted five double-doubles this season after recording
44 last year. Brand scored 21 points and had 15 rebounds and eight blocked shots
in the Clippers' opening night loss to Seattle in Japan.
COREY, Q & ELTON ALL TOP 20: Corey Maggette (26 points), Quentin Richardson (25
points) and Elton Brand (22 points) all scored 20 or more points in the same game
for the second time this season in the Clippers 115-105 win at Dallas on December
20. Los Angeles is now 2-0 when their top three scorers all score 20 or more points
in the same game. Maggette, Richardson and Brand also socred at least 20 or more
points in the Clippers 106-91 win over Phoenix on December 13.
CAREER-HIGH WEEK FOR BOBBY: Bobby Simmons recorded a career-high seven assists
at Dallas on December 20 marking the third consecutive game in which he recorded
a new career-high. Simmons had a career-high six steals in last night at Houston
on December 19 and tied a career-high with eight rebounds. Simmons has had a good
week in increased minutes. He came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points
in the Clippers 93-83 win over Milwaukee on December 17. Simmons also hit a career-high
seven field goals in the victory.
BENCH PLAY: The strong play of the Clippers bench was a key factor in the 115-105
victory at Dallas on December 20. As a unit, the bench combined for 40 points
on 15-27 shooting (.556) and pulled down 15 rebounds while dishing out 12 assists.
Doug Overton hit five of six field goals in scoring 11 points while Bobby Simmons
continued his stellar play of late with 12 points and a career-high seven assists.
Chris Wilcox also continues to make major contributions off the bench, scoring
eight points and recording five rebounds. Glen Rice had nine points, three rebounds
and three assists off the bench and hit a three-pointer in the third quarter to
give the Clippers their largest lead of the night, 80-62.
4-0 HOMESTAND: The Clippers 93-83 victory over Milwaukee on December 17 capped
a perfect 4-0 homestand. The win gave the Clippers a sweep of a four-game homestand
for the first time since October 26-November 2, 1985 when the Clippers defeated
Houston, Portland, Chicago and New York.
CLIPPERS GAMES THIS WEEK
PHILADELPHIA 76ERS - Friday, December 26, STAPLES Center, 7:30 PM (PST)

The Clippers will return home to host the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday evening
at 7:30 p.m. Friday will be the first of two meetings between the Clippers and
Sixers who will conclude their season series in Philadelphia on January 7. Philadelphia
won both meetings last season and owns a four game winning streak over the Clippers.
Los Angeles last defeated Philadelphia on March 20, 2001 at STAPLES Center. Allen
Iverson averaged 30.5 points per game last season versus the Clippers, while Elton
Brand led Los Angeles with 21.0 points and 16.0 rebounds per contest. Iverson
had 34 points in the 76ers 101-99 overtime victory at STAPLES Center on November
6 of last season. Los Angeles has dropped six consecutive games to the 76ers in
Philadelphia, with their last win coming on March 10, 1996.

The Clippers will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they host the Toronto
Raptors at STAPLES Center at 12:30 p.m. Sunday will be the first of two meetings
between the Clippers and Raptors, who will conclude their season series in Toronto
on January 9. Los Angeles and Toronto have split their two meetings over the last
three seasons. Despite Elton Brand's 17 points and 19 rebounds, the Clippers could
overcome Voshon Lenard's 30 points in a 100-86 loss at Air Canada Centre on February
2. The Clippers regrouped to defeat Toronto 111-110 at STAPLES Center on March
16 to get the season series split. Corey Maggette averaged 15.0 points per game
versus Toronto last season while Vince Carter led the Raptors with 21.0 points
per game.
